"My mom is currently at Sanford Health Dell Rapids Orchard Hills. What I like most about this place are the fantastic staff, terrific food, and a lot of care. They care about the person. It would be nice if they were licensed to do a few more things. My mother needs thickening put into her water and drinks and they're not qualified to do that. Food is all homemade. The one that's cooking is wonderful. She bakes and makes desserts and everything. They do have activities, but some of them don't pertain to my mother. They have an outdoor area out front and they plant their own plants and kind of take care of it together. They do their nails, they play bingo, and they have cards. I think they do pretty well on activities, which is good because they vary."

"I was very impressed with Greenleaf during our visit and tour. I saw several residents with visitors, smiling and laughing. It was like they were in their own homes, even though they really weren't. The overall atmosphere of Greenleaf is truly homey, not institutional at all. I feel that this is extremely important in an assisted living facility. All of the staff that I saw seemed to treat the residents as individuals who were important. They called them by name and interacted with them more than I have seen in other facilities. They seemed to really listen to the residents and what they had to say, taking time for them. I didn't notice any residents who seemed to be unhappy. To me, that is very important and something I always notice when touring these types of facilities. The grounds and interior were in good condition and thoroughly clean. Greenleaf is definitely an assisted living center that I feel would meet the needs of many people needing assisted living care. I would feel comfortable with my grandma residing there. "
