I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My cousins are residents of The Lutheran Home at Topton. It's smaller and not as elaborate as the other places we went to. It's beautiful. I like the location, it's up on the hill. It looks comfortable. The apartment was nice. The people we met were nice. My cousins both love it. The cousin who just moved in has participated in activities. She said she enjoys the people, they have a lot of activities, and the trips that she's been on.

I visited this facility

I liked The Lutheran Home at Topton very much, but they don't have the plan that the other place has where you pay one price when you move in and if you need nursing home care, you still pay the same price, so they don't have that option. The place seemed nice. We liked everything about it, except they didn't have the option for long-term care. We saw a cottage and it was nice. We saw a couple of very nice apartments. The problem is, that nothing is available. You have to wait until somebody moves out before the bigger type of apartments that we're interested in would be available. We had lunch and breakfast there one time, and it was very, very nice, and the food was very good. Everybody was very friendly. It seemed like a very nice atmosphere. They have movies, bingo, and card games. I think you could be as busy as you want to be or not however you choose to do it.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is now at The Lutheran Home at Topton. They're the only ones that accepted her, so that's where she went. The room has a bed, a dresser, a closet, and a television. I haven't been there for an extended period of time, but the staff seems to be fine. They have a courtyard-type thing. They also have other facilities around there because some people live by themselves. They have assisted living and all that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I visited a friend at The Lutheran Home at Topton. I was very pleased with the care and the cleanliness. It was clean, it was well taken care of, and the patients were well taken care of. It's very friendly as far as the staff is concerned. The patients weren't able to be active. The staff in charge of my friend were very kind. I felt they were there for her, and they were attentive. They have courtyards, they have a lawn, and they have a special room that you can wheel them into for privacy. If you want to have dinner with them, you could.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother-in-law just moved into The Lutheran Home at Topton. We were there last week to help him finish up. The employee that my husband dealt with was great. It is a great place, and they have elevators. They redid the whole apartment for him because somebody was living there prior. They follow all Covid requirements, and in the hallways, too. They have sitting rooms out, but masks must be worn at all times. His room looks over the field and all the deer come out. My brother is quite happy there.

I visited this facility

I visited the Lutheran Home at Topton, and it was nice, but they have a waiting list. The people were very friendly, very helpful, we got all the paperwork we needed, and it was very clean. The staff was very friendly, personable, and really cared about their patients. The rooms were like a hospital room. There were all kinds of activities for the residents.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My sister is at the Lutheran Home at Topton. It's the most spectacular care facility I have ever seen in my entire life. It's immaculate. The staff is abundant and caring. It's expensive but worth every penny. Everything about it is amazing and didn't have the slightest odor. I was just there two weeks ago. They have a five-star approval from the State of Pennsylvania. The size of the rooms is fine. They have numerous dining rooms and cafes for guests to eat. I ate in one, and the food was very good. It's fairly standard for every taste, like there was nothing really spicy or really bland; it's just right. They have activities like bingo and concerts, but nothing that she can participate in.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

They were very nice at the Lutheran Home at Topton. The rehabilitation was OK, and the facility has no smell. We were satisfied with them. My mother said the food was good. The room she was in was adequate. I do not know exactly what activities they had, but they had stuff going on all the time.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Grandma preferred to be at Lutheran Home at Toptom. She was there in the past for nursing care. The facility is very homey and very clean. The dining room is very nice and they also a little store inside their facility called the Front Porch and you can take the residents to have a cup of pudding and that was nice. All the staff are very friendly.
