"I think Arden Courts was excellent. They have nice rooms which were small, but they were clean and comfortable. They have a lot of people available on staff; the woman who showed me around has good interactions with the residents, and they adore her. "

"The Residence at Bethel Park is absolutely beautiful. Everything is new and fresh. We bumped one of the walls and some of the plaster came off and it was already repaired the next time I was there within a week. My mother-in-law is very happy with the food selection. They have a great 24-hour bistro where there's food available for the residents at all hours of the day and night. They don't have an area to cook in their apartment so much, so it's nice that they can just run down there and grab something. The room is nice sized, and my father-in-law could wheel a wheelchair into the bathroom and get into the shower. The staff has been nothing but extraordinary, helping us through the process of getting ready to come and making sure we're aware of any additional services available. The executive director has been nothing but helpful. We're really happy with this facility. They have tons of activities every day, and the staff went above and beyond what I would've expected. The food is of great quality. They have shopping trips, bingo, parties, and church services. It's like a cruise ship."

"Rolling Meadows Nursing Home was a surprisingly good facility for my Grandmother who recently passed away. She lived in the facility for over 2 years. During that I was able to visit her on occasion and was really happy with the quality of care and the overall facility. The caretakers were always prompt, conscientious, and friendly to the patients. The center had numerous activities including live bands, parties, social gatherings, and even art events for the residents. Large screen tvs were available in several open areas for residents to watch tv. On of my favorite areas was the front area where a large bird cage house numerous birds. It was a favorite for residents as well. Residents, if they desired, were even allowed to go outside with relatives or friends. The surrounding area is quite nice with several fields and nearby hills. I remember sitting right outside of the entrance way and watching bunnies, birds, and even golphers running around. Another plus for the facility is that there are many volunteers. Many volunteers help out with events, meeting residents, and participating with residents in social gatherings. It was really a nice facility and I was very glad that my grandmother was able to stay there. If anyone lives near Waynesburg, PA and has a loved one in need of long term care, I would highly recommend looking at Rolling Meadows. "

"I VISITED MY BROTHER IN THIS PLACE. HE IS ON A WALKER AND OXYGEN AND HE WAS PUT IN A PRIVATE ROOM UPSTAIRS WHERE HE HAS TO WALK UP TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AND CARRY HIS WALKER WITH HIM.THERE IS SOMEONE DOWNSTAIRS WHO IS ON OXYGEN WHERE THEY COULD PUT HIM. I BELIEVE THEY PUT HIM IN THE PRIVATE ROOM SO THEY COULD COLLECT MORE MONEY. WHEN HE LEFT THE HOSPOTAL HE WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 1200.00 A MONTH AND HE IS PAYING 1500.00. HE IS ON DISABILITY AND HAS TO PAY FOR INSURANCE AND PERSONAL NEEDS, AND MEDICINE. HE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH LEFT TO DO THIS. IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE THAT NEEDS CARE I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS PLACE. IT IS VERY DEPRESSING AND SOMEONE WHO IS ALREADY DEPRESSED IS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER. THIS IS EWING MANOR WEST IN ROGERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA"

"I toured pretty much the whole facility of Personal Care at Evergreen. We went down and started downstairs, then we went upstairs, and they showed us the whole place. They seemed like very caring people. Everyone seemed to be happy and they were out watching TV in the common area. It looked like it was extremely clean and very nice. They showed us the activity room and the common areas. They showed us where they prepare the food and I guess they do crafts and things like that in the activities area too. I didn't check their menu, but they explained that they serve hot meals, and they were getting ready to serve lunch when we left, but we did not stay for that. The staff who assisted me was very, very good, and very knowledgeable. She couldn't give me information about availability and pricing, but certainly told me about the staff and how they manage people. She also told me that if you need extra care to shower and bathe, they have that option, and that they would take care of that. She was the nurse on staff there. I don't know if it was perfect, but it's definitely very high up there. It was definitely more like a community and not a hospital type of environment. It was definitely homey too."

"My wife moved to Generations Elder Care. There's only about 18 to 20 people in the home. It's just a personal care home. They're the only ones that offered to take her. She had been diagnosed with bipolar (type III), and had some pretty severe reactions. They keep the place nice and clean, and they've been great. I haven't tasted the food, but my wife said it's pretty good. They have a patio that the residents can use. There's a lot of really fancy places, but this is not fancy. This is a basic place, actually. It's well maintained, and the staff is great, which is what I was looking for."

"The staff at Cherry Tree was alright, I guess. The rooms are all semi-private, and I am sharing a room with another person. The food was good and they had different activities like bingo. They must have private rooms. "

"my dad is in the rehab department it is clean , cheerful, bright and the staff is talkative and attentive . Yes they are short on staffing but where isnt that a problem today ? "

"My parents have been in 4 different care homes this year as their care needs have continued to get more complicated. Some have looked much prettier than Peroni's and some have cost more. But none have provided the exemplary care that Peroni's has. Tony, the owner, runs this place with his heart and personally sets the standard for a high level of care. I've been to places where the staff and sales people pretend to have relationships with residents, but the caring relationship here seems very real. Mom is happier than she's been in a long time, and it's because the people here treat her very well."

"Not impressed. My mother was hospitalized for dehydration, fell and broke her leg, no fresh fruit or vegetables, "homemade" was from a box, mix, or can. Dominoes Pizza was served for dinner the first night I visited. Two patients were completely immobilized and couldn't move from their chairs without assistance even to move a wheelchair. "

"My uncle is in a nursing home down in Uniontown, it's called Uniontown Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. They're really good with me. My uncle, on the other hand, isn't too happy, but I think that's because he's locked down due to Governor Wolf's restrictions. His room looks basic. The outside is nice, it looks like they have nice lawn care. That's all I saw since I had to go into a corner cubbyhole type of thing to actually see him during window visits. I talk to my uncle regularly and he says the food was cold; he likes everything scalding hot though. They don't have activities now, they've been on lockdown since someone tested positive. They monitor his medicines because he has diabetes and complications with that. He's also an amputee. He only has one leg. When we drop stuff off for my uncle I come in contact with one nurse at the door and they're usually polite. He has a case manager there and that person has contacted me twice and had conversations with me. They seem polite and my uncle hasn't really complained about them."

"My brother has moved into Hillside Manor Personal Care Home. So far, so good. I have no complaints so far. The staff is very nice, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. The rooms are very nice. They have different types. They have a room for one and two people, and they have the suites, which are a little bigger. My brother has no complaints about the food. They have different activities every day. The atmosphere is good. I haven't had any problems with the staff."
