Food at Walton Manor Health Care doesn't come out warm enough, but I tasted some of the meals and they're not bad. My mom is in a room by herself, but they are two beds. It is pretty spacious. The bed sheets are changed regularly. The floors are clean. They had an incident with her toilet not working right and it was fixed within the day. That kind of stuff seems to be pretty good. Most of the staff are pretty good. Of course, there are a few who are just earning a paycheck and they're not really in the caring business.

My experience with Walton Manor stems not only from my grandmother being a current resident, but also from my time as a volunteer ten years ago. The grounds and building itself are well kept and beautiful. I like the fact that they also offer both private and shared rooms, and the nearest full service hospital is less than 3 miles away. Their in-house medical equipment is up to date, and they are always replacing existing equipment with the latest state of the art models. The staff is always very courteous and helpful whenever I visit, and their detailed stories and updates on my grandmother make me confident she is getting the individual attention she needs. They are also great about calling my family with weekly updates even when there are no major concerns. The event staff is great about scheduling many daily activities to entertain and fit the needs of all residents. It is comforting to see that our money goes not only toward my grandmother's basic needs such as medical attention, room, and nutritional needs, but fun activities and special guests to brighten her days.
