"My family member was a past resident here while recovering from a hip fracture. The Sterling Pavilion is now under new ownership and is now called The Citadel of Sterling. Since my family member was here for about 8 weeks, I can tell you that I witnessed exceptional, personalized care. Citadel of Sterling provides the resident with compassionate care and their therapy here is out of this world amazing. They have state of the art equipment that helped my family member get so strong in such a short period of time. They worked diligently with us to get her where we wanted her... HOME. So friendly, caring and my family member raved about the food and the one on one attention. The building is beautiful, have a brand new outdoor area which is lovely,It is funny because my family member said she was spoiled when she was there, and now has to come home and misses the fun activities and all the friendly faces. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone I know and I can tell you if you live in IOWA or WISCONSIN it is worth placing your loved one here because this place is the BEST!"

"This facility is the best by far, they are five star and they make every effort to accommodate and take care of their residents, it is clean, no smells and it is a homey atmosphere, good food, great staff. "

"It is so refreshing to know there are still personal care facilities that prioritize patient’s needs. This is one such facility. My dad, unfortunately never made it to the facility as his health quickly deteriorated and he passed the day he was supposed to move in. However, more than enough dealings with the facility transpired prior to his move in date that I am very qualified to give a fair and honest review of the facility and the staff. There was a lot of uncertainty about my dad’s prognosis as he had fallen at a different facility and sustained multiple fractures. When other facilities were looking for reasons to not accept my dad, Grandview had a “can do” attitude and welcomed the challenges that my dad’s care would present. From the minute I walked into the facility for an unannounced visit, the staff was friendly, courteous and professional and the facility was clean, pleasant smelling and well maintained. And much to my surprise it was very affordably priced compared to comparable facilities. Because of my dad’s condition there were a lot of moving parts when considering his transfer and everyone we spoke with from the owner, to Becca (head of admissions) to the nursing staff were continually flexible and willing to do anything they could to make his transition as pleasant as possible. With his condition seemingly changing hourly and with this occurring over Christmas it was nothing short of incredible at how helpful and understanding they were with all of our changing needs. And if all of that wasn’t appreciated enough by my family, they gave us a refund for the money we paid in advance of his move. You never want to lose a parent but I wanted so much for my dad to experience what I saw in the facility and the staff. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have received superior attention and care. Unfortunately, I learned first-hand how inattentive, uncaring and flat out neglectful staffs were at other facilities. With care of your loved one being priority one I feel VERY comfortable recommending this facility to ANYONE who requires loving and professional care and attention for their loved one. I have no affiliation with this facility and I didn’t even know they existed 3 weeks ago but with so many bad ones out there I wanted to make sure this good one got recognized. If I could give more that 5 stars I would. "

"My father was put here against my will on a Friday.. My father passed Saturday night.. The staff literally left my father unattended to, did not get him to eat or drink. And other clients at free to roam about the halls and his room.. The bathrooms are shared and clients sleeping on the couches as you enter the building.. JUST A VERY DIRTY PLACE IN GENERAL.. And the staff is rude and nasty.. While I was there to visit my father one of the cna 's was taking a client out to smoke dropped another clients cigarette picked it up and put it back in the pack.. Do you really want your loved one here..before I left I told the to get a doctor in there for my dad or call the ambulance and when they did it was to late.. Don't let that happen to your family.. "

"I've been in this facility a numerous amount of times and each time I was there the staff was very friendly. It's a very clean facility as well, everything was very neat and organized. The staff seemed to help the residence a lot and would be very friendly with them. Outside of the facility was very neat as well, they had nice flower beds and lawn ornaments that made the place look nice. The food also looked really good. The residence seemed to have really well balanced meals. It seemed to be a pretty friendly community of staff and residences. Everybody got along and took pride in the work they had to do. The CNAs were very professional about what they had to do. Even the parking lot was nicely paved and even had a turnabout in it to get out easily, as well as a sally port in case it happened to be raining when a resident arrived. Overall I would say this is a very nice facility and wouldn't have a problem sending any of my family and/or friends there to live out their days "
