We've chosen Pinecrest Manor for my father and he will be in the memory care/Alzheimer's unit. I have talked to a lot of people in the community, and I've never heard anything bad about it. For a small town, they provide a lot of services for seniors. The staff was very caring, very easy to talk to, and very accommodating. We're just in the beginning stages, so we haven't talked to a lot of people. It's very easy to get to. It's kind of on the edge of town, so it's a nice location. I have been in to visit other people who were in rehab, but as far as I can tell, things are kept up very nicely and the grounds are very nice. The only thing we've been involved in is the Alzheimer's support group, and we've been very happy with it.

I thought Pinecrest Manor was very nice, clean, very orderly, and quiet. When they showed us the actual apartment, it was very small, not very attractive, and not handicapped accessible. When we called, they said that they had handicap accessibility.

I am in Pinecrest Community. I like that it is in a small country town and I am not dealing with a lot of heavy traffic. The staff is excellent. You can't ask for any better as far as assistance or as far as social support. If you need some attention or need something to be addressed, they are right then and there and they don't hesitate for a moment. They have a very good housekeeping team that work around the patients. They do an outstanding job. They have a couple of different sources as far as the meal goes. They have an in-house meal preparation arrangement in the dining room. If you are bedridden or homebound and unable to go to the dining room. they have a community menu that goes around, you can pick or choose what you decide to have for the meals that day, and they will bring the food to you in a covered container.
