"Since my mother broke her leg, we had to put her into rehab in Friendship Health and Rehab. The facility is an older facility, but it's clean and smells nice. The staff is real helpful and they are very caring. I was very surprised when I first walked in, they're rated very high. They don't have any deficiencies or any of that in their last score. I have to rate them a four only because the facility is old; other than that, if it was a newer building, people would be fighting to get in. I'm happy with them. "

"Lanier Estates (Lanier Village Estates) was beautiful. Everything was beautiful. The people were lovely. It was great. I would recommend it in every way. "

"My uncle is in PruittHealth right now. They have a memory care unit; a lot of nursing homes don’t have memory care for Alzheimer’s or dementia patients. He has two other roommates. It’s high security, so you have to have codes to go in and out of any door, and there are plenty of nurses on staff. They’re well-staffed with very friendly and very helpful people. They play games like table ball where they throw the ball to each other, have a trivia game to sharpen their memory, and my uncle said they have a room with hand weights, like a strengthening room. I haven’t seen it, so I’m not sure how heavy the weights are, though I’m sure they’re not very heavy. "

"Willowwood was very nice, very clean. They would be able to take mother, and we were happy with it. The people seemed to be having a good time in the activity room. The menu seemed like it was good food. They would help her with her daily activities. "

"We toured Chelsey Park Health & Rehabilitation. When we toured it, we saw things that none of us thought about having to teach someone who may have had a stroke like our mom. I mean, they had a bedroom set up so that they could teach them how to get in and out of bed safely. They had a car or a little pickup truck without the bed of the truck so they could teach them how to get in and out of a car from a wheelchair or a walker. They had like a little store set up teaching them how to pick out vegetables, and a booth in a restaurant to teach them how to get in and out. So it was just like things I never thought of that some may need to be shown and it was just truly amazing. They had a private room where there was one patient and they had their bathroom. It was very neat. The patients' rooms were on the second and third floor and each floor had a porch like you could go out there if you were in a wheelchair or walker. You could go out there and sit and just look at the mountains. The staff was very nice. They greeted us with eye contact. The girl that we would have seen happened to be in a meeting so she couldn't give us a tour, but the little girl who worked in the front end said, "I'll be glad to take you around." So she did. She took us to all three floors, and showed us their bathing area, the laundry room, just everything. She did a very good job."

"My grandmother was placed in this facility and the staff provided excellent care. Even when times were challenging with the staff they still provided the care she needed. The staff is amazing and I recommend Gold City for the excellent services they provided. "

"I ave stayed with The Oaks of Athens in the past. It's a very nice place to stay. The staff is nice and do what they can to help you. They provide you good care and they have pretty good food. They have all kinds of activities, like painting, cooking, Bingo, and games. You can buy some fairly nice stuff off of a little cart like lotions and shampoos. They also have good movies and church services. The rooms are very nice. The first time I was there I stayed in a very nice, semi-private room, but there's a big wall between you and your neighbor, so it's like living in a separate room. The second time I was there I was in a bigger private room."

"Very clean, well put together, great staff and they love they gave for everyone is outstanding rooms are decent size and they residents love the activities! They do allow smoking which most places do not "

"Overall this place was pretty much a stereotypical nursing home that took in poor patients or patients that were not able to get in somewhere else on short notice. It seemed clean enough but overall there was just a sense of depression that one couldn't get past. The residents seemed to be taken care of at the minimum of what was required. My grandfather had been in another location that was very clean and well-lit and the staff seemed very bright and attentive. At my grandmothers, they had trouble with some residents wandering into the other rooms and you never knew what could happen at any minute. Also, there was no chance of a private room and so there were usually a rotating set of roommates. Much more like a hospital than a place to love. "

"The hospital recommended Pruitthealth to us for rehab. The staff was all nice, very good and they treat her like she was a friend; they were excellent. She is in a semi-private and they even moved her to a different semi-private because of her roommates, and they were very cooperative with that. The dining room is very nice, it’s a big room with lots of tables. They had all kinds of stuff but she was mainly there for physical and occupational therapy and they work her out there. They made her walk every day; they were so nice. You have to at least buzz in and it’s a long way when you go out -- you have to press a code in to get out and in. "
