I was a resident of Northtowns Care Center. It was either hot or cold in the rooms. It wasn't stable. The aides were allowed to say so as far as getting the patients out of bed whether the patients were going to therapy or not. That was the situation that I went through. We had decided that it would take three people to move me in because the aides said they didn't have three staff members available at one time to move me. So, I was on bed rest for some months, but you could see clusters of three and more gossiping or hear them gossiping. The vegetables were always the same. They were overcooked and had lots of water, no taste, and no nutritional value. I played bingo. We have movies, but they would have us in the small activity room. We're about maybe not even ten of us who could watch a movie at a time. They would serve tacos on Tuesday. We have guests play music a couple of times a month.

At the Sheridan Manor the staff is very friendly. They handle the elderly with care and love. They do many fun activities with them, such as arts and crafts and casino night. They have great flexible visiting hours. The patients are aloud to leave with their families without any problems. Overall I believe it is one of the best facilities in the area. I have heard many complaints from other places, but none from the Sheridan Manor. My grandfather really seems to enjoy it there. Every time i visit him he always has a great story about his stay. He has made friends with other residents and the great staff. I would definitely recommend The Sheridan Manor to anybody in the Buffalo area.
