"Parkview Home is very welcoming and very accommodating. It appears to be well staffed. The room where my friend lives is kept clean. I've actually eaten there a couple of times, and the food is good and plentiful. They have alternate Catholic and Protestant services, bingo games at least twice a week, other games during the week (I know the other day they were playing Scrabble), a physical therapy room, and a great room with a television where residents can watch TV there (if they don't want to sit in their rooms). There are a couple of outdoor courts as well."

"Prairie Village Retirement Center was clean. They only had three levels of care. They had different levels of apartments. There were apartments where you just stayed and ate your meals there. There was another wing where nursing care was available and I thought this was good. My mom liked that they had individual doors to the outside with each apartment. She also knew most of the residents who stayed there. It was a very good facility but the facility had more services. "

It seemed like the people there were happy, although the cost was higher. The grounds are well kept, it's close to the hospital, and everything was nice. They had a courtyard and a waterfall with koi fish. It was nice. It's right across the street from the hospital. "We got my brother placed in David Place. They're very compassionate. They are very personable both to the residents and the family. The facility is beautiful. It meets and exceeds the needs that we're requiring right now. It's complete with certified therapists for post-knee surgeries. The caregivers are cheerful, and they act like they've got time to take care of you, even though we know that they are very busy. They don't cut corners. The food is delicious. They're homecooked. With regards to value for money, I think it's right up there with anything out there."
