We put my mother-in-law in Hooper Care Center. We are okay with it, and it is adequate. The staff is very friendly. They are doing very well. Mom has a roommate. It is small and we could hardly get her chair beside her bed with a little table. My sister-in-law was really upset that it is so small. My mother-in-law has dementia and we have to put her in a secured unit. She’s only been there about three weeks now. They take her to some physical therapy, and they try to keep her busy. They would have her folding towels, and she cuts and makes quilt walks. I will say the activities are nice. I like that it is close to all of us.

The staff is unbelievably rude. Yelling at family members and hanging up on them while checking on their loved ones. Specifically Melissa. The director Diane and her staff are very defensive. They do not take the time to ensure all residents are fed and given fluids throughout each day, thus causing dehydration and starvation. Compassion is not shown to the residents nor their family members. It's frightening.
