I'm currently staying in the Bristol Manor of Pleasant Hill. When I first moved here it was great, and recently it has gone downhill considerably. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The management got a twenty-two year old that doesn't know how to do anything. She doesn't know how to cook, and she really doesn't know how to manage money. They can improve on management, they need help, they got rid of people that knew what they were doing. They started getting these people that didn't know what they were doing. They only have one person today to do the cleaning, the cooking, to do everything. As far as management goes, I will give them a one. They have a group of ladies that come in and give us bingo once a month.

This place is horrid! The food provided is inadequate for daily dietary requirements. Fruit is offered only once a day at breakfast. Some of the residents do not participate in breakfast because of the early hour so they do not get a chance to have fruit. Green vegetables are rarely served. Starches and fats are the main meals. I would suggest that the employees of the home take some classes in nutrition. For the prices charged for this home, good healthy food should not be an issues. Rules change often depending on the mood of the employees. The residents have no say in meal planning as advertised. Activities are almost non-existent with the exception of occasional Bingo game. Certain common areas are "off limits" for the residents to use for their enjoyment. Sometimes residents are "written-up" for simply attempting to voice an opinion. This home certainly is in need of reorganization.
