Azalea Gardens Nursing Center took great care of my grandma, and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. From day one, the staff treated her with real kindness and patience, and it meant a lot to our whole family knowing she was in good hands. The place is also incredibly clean and well kept, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Everything always felt orderly and comfortable, not overwhelming or cold like some places can feel. What stood out most was how genuine the people were. They weren’t just doing a job, they actually cared. They took the time to check in on her, talk with her, and make sure she felt comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Azalea Gardens to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. It made a hard situation a lot easier for our family.

I currently have my mother here, the service is great. Communication is lacking in some areas but overall if you need something the social department and D.O.N. will assure that it is handled and followed up with. The place is newly remodeled and looks fantastic, smells great, caters to my mothers every need.

My great-grandmother stayed in this facility for quite a while. My mother and I would go to visit her on Sundays and sometimes during the week. The newly built part of the facility was very nice but the old part was awful. The smell was terrible and the people living in the older part did not seem happy. I remember people just sitting in the hallway calling out for help and no one coming to them. Most of the people that worked there were nice, but did not truly care about most of the patients. My great-grandmother's things would disappear even with her name written in them. We would buy her pajamas, jogging suits, blankets, and even underwear and after some time all of it would disappear. When we asked where the things might be none of the nurses knew. I understand that things get lost but too many of her things got "lost" for it to just be a coincidence. Also we would often find her soiled and chaffed from not being taken care of in so long. Sometimes my grandparents would have to change her themselves because the nurses hadn't. I do think it was only when certain nurses were on duty that this happened because there were several nurses that did truly care about and take care of her.
