"Mae L, 90-year-old resident since 6-5-18 is my Mother, I was born Diane L. I am giving Longwood Community Center an excellent rating. The staff is well-educated in health care and the facility is sparkling clean. I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's name, but I jotted down the names of some employees that provide loving care to my Mother. These people deserve recognition for their exceptional, professional knowledge--plus they are always courteous helpful and friendly. Plus, Mom has gained 6 pounds since she entered Longwood and is looking so much better. Day Shift workers who were extra helpful to us Friday were: Ashley, Leslie, Shirley and Breanna. Those I met that came in for the 3 o'clock shift are: CHARITY, Iris, Haley, Caroline and a young lady whose maiden name was C. We left at 3:18 Friday, 8-10-18, and saw my older brother had come and was standing near our car. Sorry, but I can't get the rating stars to work properly, I tried put excellent on each catagory and failed. "

"I liked the friendliness of the people at Dogwood Corinth and I liked the rooms well, the way it was set up and everything. It was very clean and we spoke to some of the people that were staying there and they like staying there. They have a beauty salon and an activity area."

"I have never been a fan of nursing homes, especially the smell. I can't say this one doesn't have that smell, but it's not as prominent as most. The staff here was amazing. My grandmother was very lucky to have an old family friend on staff. That made her stay there much more pleasant. Cornerstone had a nice little game room, equipped with a pool table, checkers, and chess. The only problem with the game room is when i say little, i mean little. The smoke area was also very nice. There were beautiful flowers planted in this area along with good stone tables and benches. Most homes have the cheap picnic tables. The people there made visitors feel welcomed, but more importantly, they made the people staying there feel at home. Which is exactly how I would want to feel if I were to ever have to live in one. "

"All I can say is that if this nursing home rates mid or higher than most in Mississippi, this is sad. My mother was there for 10 months. Her room was always filthy. Floors, walls, baseboards. Her bed was always full of crumbs and used-up sheets. The floor was mopped with something that stuck to my sandals so bad I could hardly keep them on when visiting her. The food was awful. She was not encouraged to get out of her bed daily and go to the dining room. She was left and left and left. Until a family member went and encouraged her. She even had one LPN that grabbed her by the seat of the pants, drug her back to her room and told her meanly to get her walker. My Mother had a name for her, and I agree. No way to treat an elderly person. Luckily, my Mother died and didn't have to live here anymore. God forgive me for putting her there and trusting the people who are supposed to devote their life to caring for others. This is not what I saw. "

"Everybody that I had an interaction with at Keller Landing were very friendly and helpful. There were nurses, the caseworker that was showing us around, and a couple of ladies in the business office. They have an outdoor space and an activities room. The facility didn't seem as clean. Saw a couple of bugs crawling on the floor, and a few different things. It wasn't terrible, but it is a very old facility, so they can't really improve on the facility itself as far as that goes because it's an old building, but mainly they need to make sure it feels a little cleaner. The walls were kind of dented and needed repainting. It just needs an upgrade."

"The assistant living experience was great.the poeple there where really nice and i enjoyed working with the people and having fun.I helped do alot of things to make sure the place stayed in shape.There really wasnt anything wrong with the facility becaus eit was up to date and very clean and well kept up.
