Richfield Care Center Nursing Home is a small facility, and the staff is really, really nice and attentive. It's more for short-term patients. The sanitation is very good. I like the fact that it is a small facility and there's not a whole lot of patients.

This has to be the worst place anywhere. The building is run down and decrepit and the staff for the most part are lazy and rude. The food is beyond awful. The staff act as if the residents work for them and ignore the fact residents pay them!!!

I recently was a resident for a couple of months .It was a nightmare. I survived attempts to reach Dr for more than a month wi no response. A nurse attempting to inject me with a med that wasn't prepped and could have done serious injury. Countless missed meds. Hour plus waits for a bed pan. A few decent employees can't make up for the ineptitude and general lack of concern exhibited by many.

I didn’t have a place to put my brother, so Richfield is where he went after he left VA. Our experience has been bad. The staff is lazy, and they don’t do anything to help the person who are there. I’m so disappointed with that place, but I don’t have a say in where he can go because he doesn’t have any finances. It’s the most awful place. I’m not in the nursing field at all, but you don’t have to be to see what goes on there. I would not recommend that place to anybody. He eats his meals in his room. They have a dining room downstairs, but they don’t encourage him to do anything; he lays in bed 24 hours a day. They need to train their personnel to do their jobs and encourage the patients to get better. It took me 2 ½ months to get a haircut for him because nobody knows what the left hand is doing. The right hand tells you one thing and the left hand doesn’t know. I'd ask, "Did he get to see the doctor this week?" THey said, "Oh, yeah he’s seen the doctor," only to find out he never did. Even the nurses don’t do their jobs. I’m not a picky person, but after being there for five months already, and he has not improved.
