The Best Memory Care Communities in Grainger County, TN

"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"We have chosen Trinity Hills of Knoxville for my mother, and she's moving in on Tuesday. It's very clean, and it feels very homey. The room is very nice, it has laminate wood floors which kind of give us a homey feel. Very roomy, the bathroom very large, and has a nice walk-in shower with all the bars and everything for safety. It has a very large kitchen nook, with a microwave, small refrigerator, small size kitchen sink, and cabinets space, so lots of room and storage. The staff is so, so nice, everyone is very sweet, everyone always greets you, even if they don't know who we are, they're just all very inviting. We have not sampled the food, but I do know that they have a chef on-site and it's restaurant style. So they get to order off of the menu what they want to eat. There is some variety, then they have certain things that they always have, like soup and baked potatoes. They always have that. And then every day there are certain entrees they can choose from. It's a very nice dining area, even the lighting in there is pretty like they have chandeliers and things like that. So it makes it feel like home. They always have bingo. They have a grand piano in the great room and it's off of the dining room. And they have someone that comes and plays music while they eat. They have a fireplace that they can gather around. They have movie days, they have special speakers that come in, and they have a chapel there so they can have Sunday school and church. They can go on outings if they want, and they have a little shuttle that they can go on outings, and then just all kinds of activities constantly, whether it's crafts or things like that."

"My grandfather lived at Regency in assisted living and he absolutely loved it! The building is beautiful and the activities program was exactly what grand dad needed. When he lived at home alone he ate poorly and rarely got out. He said that everyone else had their spouse and that he felt out of place going to eat with couples. But, after moving to Regency and making new friends that were single his whole life changed. He played cards, bingo and went out to eat on Fridays. It was a blessing to our whole family. "

"We liked Wellington Manor and the style of its rooms. We also liked that it had a memory care. The staff and the accommodations are fine. The memory care is good. The cost is very good because it's much less expensive."

"Although the facility is a little on the older side, it is definitely "Homey". As soon as we walked in the door, you could hear and see "life" happening ( I think the game they were playing was Hot Potato and the residents were cackling with excitement). This facility is free from odor, and you could see the staff interacting with residents at the turn of every corner. The Administration is very knowledgeable and found the office staff is very accommodating to help. We are very pleased with our visit and will be sharing with our mother about our experience during our visit. "

"The rooms were pretty small at Dominion Wellspring Sevierville. I didn’t spend a lot of time with the residents, but I can see that everybody seemed happy. The staff was nice. They gave us their calendar of activities, and they invited us to come any time. They give emphasis on the religion. They do very good religious things for people. Their staff is very in tune with that, and that is very important to me. "
