"We toured Harmony at Morgantown. It was very welcoming and friendly. All the people we met, the staff, and the director who gave us the tour, were great. They smell great, clean, and pretty spacious for one-bedroom apartments. They gave us a free lunch while we were there. So, my wife, I, and my friend had lunch that day, and we had something different. The food was good and the service was excellent. The staff in the dining area was very friendly, and Dennis was amazing."

"We toured Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills. It was very nice. Everybody brought in a wreath, and all the rooms were decorated. They had a little box where you could put stuff in it. The staff was very, very nice. When you came in, they offered you cookies. I liked the porches outside where they would take the patients, and there was nice scenery."

"My mother was in Harmony at Morgantown. She died a year ago, but she was there until she needed more care. She was happy with the place. She was in their assisted living facility and was there for 3 years. They had a lot of activities that she participated in. She wasn't a big activity person, but she participated every time they had bingo. She also participated in a Bible study group and attended church services, as various churches took turns hosting them. They have movies there, but she's not big on that. She ate all her meals in the dining room. The only negative about that was that when staffing was low, which it was at times, they were very slow in getting meals out to the clients. They would be sitting there for 30 to 45 minutes waiting for a meal, so that was the main thing my mom complained about a lot. I think she mostly liked the food, though. They had a limited menu they could pick from if they didn't want what was on the menu, and they usually had two choices. They had special meals at holiday times and invited family in, and that was always very nice and very good. I think the staff members were all very caring. They all had good relationships with my mom and were very concerned about her. They have a library, which my mom used and enjoyed. They didn't have much outdoor space, but they're up on a hill, and you can walk around the parking lot. Other than that, there really isn't other space to walk around. People would walk their dogs there, but my mom did not walk outside because she had difficulties with her balance. I think they're very expensive compared to other places, but my mom was very happy there. I think if you can afford it, then it's a good place to be."

"My mom moved into Walden's View Senior Living. It's just fine. I pretty much like the fact that everybody there is nice. And when the pandemic was happening, they got animals to keep the people from getting lonely, and stuff like that. Everybody's very nice. Everybody's very friendly, very helpful. Whenever I call, they answer my questions right away, or if I go over there, they're really helpful. The food looks good, I'm usually only there for breakfast time, and everything was really good. They have this little dining area, and they have a cafe that they keep open for the people that live there. So if any time during the day they want to get a little snack, they can. They have all kinds of activities over there, and they try to keep her as busy as possible. Everything is very, very clean. It's a little bit higher than I would like to pay, it's self-pay, and there's not too much you can do about that. They have a giant patio that I've taken her out on many, many times and sat there outside with her. They have tables. You can go outdoors and sit there anytime you want. There's a lot of people there, they can take care of themselves too, and they kind of get up just like in their own home, maybe get a cup of coffee, take it outside and drink it on the patio."

"Mom is at Newhaven Court at Lindwood and her experience has just been very good for her. The place is good and clean. They're accommodating. We haven't had any issues. They are helpful and kind. Their food is not for everybody. You might not like everything, but I think everything is pretty good. They have something going on every day for the residents, and you can participate if you choose. If you don't want to, you don't have to, but there's always something available for the residents. Their price was pretty much the same as all the others we looked at. It's just what's out there, but for everything that you get, I think their price is pretty good."
