"My mother has been in St James Place for less than a month now. So far, it's been outstanding. They have worked very closely with us, from my initial visit up to now. There's not a single negative thing that we could say. It's been great. Her room is just a single-person room, and she has no roommate, so it's a private room. I don't recall any room options that they have in the memory care section, but I like the security of it, and that's important to us. We have access to her, not just at the window or on the cellphone, and we can visit her twice a week. Their prices are on the high side, but they were willing to negotiate with us to help meet our budget."

"Magnolia Brook on Siegen Lane is a very nice and hospitable facility. They are top-notch. The staff is very nice, very friendly, and very open. My dad said the meals are good. His room is very spacious and beautiful on the inside, with a nice exterior also. They take the seniors out to participate in a lot of activities like bingo. They have a beautiful dining room and they all eat together. They are a bit pricey, but I think that you always pay for what you get. It's worth it since it's a very nice, warm, and positive environment. Seniors will be comfortable, happy, and will be attended to very well by their staff."

"I went to visit. It was excellent. It's very big. The staff was very professional and friendly. We are going back to try the food next Thursday. The dining area was very nice. It was more like a restaurant-looking area. While we were there, they were doing flower arranging. They had a history class going, and they had an area with a piano. They do movies. It was very nice. The room was very nice. It was like a little apartment. It had a kitchen area with what you need. It was just a little nicer than the other place."

"We will be moving Mom into The Pearl at Jamestown. It's clean, it's bright, and it smelled good. The staff was extremely nice. Everybody there was friendly. The rooms could be a little bigger, but they're not bad (they're enough). The atmosphere was real homey. The sales director had gone out of her way helping us answering questions. My wife tasted the food today, too, and she said it was decent."

"The Claiborne at Shoe Creek had a welcoming atmosphere. During the visit, I only interacted with the lady giving us the tour, and she was understanding and informative. The amenities are not all on one level. They have a gym, salon, library, theater, and restaurant style dining. The upkeep of the place is excellent. The location is convenient to our family. It's not really close to the hospitals, but they do medical travels and stuff, and it's in proximity to existing physicians."

They were very upbeat, very positive people. They showed me a one-bedroom and it's all one level. So, you didn't have to get on an elevator, which I kind of liked."
