"I have used a day service called the Friendship House. I have left my wife there when I had something to do and it wasn’t practical for her to go with me. While she was there, she had her teeth cleaned and had a pedicures, and in one day she will stay for 5 hours. We are quite satisfied with it, the place seems to be well-organized, and we did not see anyone unduly sad. The services they provided were very good. The caregiver is quite competent, and it is very convenient as it is not too far away. What impressed me was it was a well-disciplined community, and they provide good services. "

"Atterdag Village has all four levels of care but it does not have mental and Alzheimer's care. Their skilled nursing facility is also the recovering residence for the local hospitals. It's only four blocks away, we can walk over there. They have nice independent living suites as well as assisted living. It's kind of a well-known facility. "

"My mother lives in the Heritage House. It is a very high end facility, and the price is pretty expensive. It is small. They had like 60 residents in total. There is a high ratio of health care workers to residents. It is a very nice and quiet place. It doesn't smell like cleaning fluid or stinky or anything. When you walk in, there is no smell. It is like home, and it is very nice. They have tons of activities. Every day they have 3 to 4 things going on. They have trips out to lunch, bingo, entertainment, and karaoke. They have a dining room. They keep them pretty busy. Then, they have activities where they include the family like special dinners on mother's day or Easter and Christmas. Then they have happy hour on Friday afternoon and a barbeque day every Monday."

"AAA Kindness Care Home is a nice facility. It was a very homey and very nice place. They were one of the best ones I've ever had a tour with. I observed the dining area, but did not taste their food. It was a very nice area. The staff seemed to be very caring there. They were very good."
