"I visited Evans Park at Newton Corner, and it's a nice place. The two gentlemen that were there were extremely nice. The rooms were very nice. The dining area was very nice with the way they had it setup. It's not a big place, but it's located in a beautiful location that is easy to get to. They do quite a bit of activities. They go to movies and to places. "

"We found The Residences at Wingate for my mother. The community actually has two separate buildings. There is the skilled nursing building and the assisted living building. The assisted living has both normal assisted living with a dining area and entertainment, and then there’s the memory care that has the security and extra activities. They’ve worked hard to hire good people and train them to really be understanding of the residents. They seem to be doing a very good job with what they said they would be doing. They have a kitchen on-site that tries to do a good job. "

"My grandmother spent about five years at the Belmont Manor while she lived out the rest of her life when caring for her became to much for our family. The staff at the facility was great, from nurses to nutrition and counselling for not only my grandmother but for my family. Everything she needed was available in this facility , there was a hair salon, always activites and bus trips , a dentist ,church and many other things that made the stay there enjoyable. Although gram didn't remember many of the trips or activities seeing the pictures of her having fun and hearing the nurses tell us stories made us feel so much better about her not being at home. In the Alzheimer unit they had there own dining area and special care to keep them safe, they also had a function hall that you could use to celebrate birthday and other events. The staff made everything the best they could even through her last days, even after her death the staff kept in touch and many came to her services. "

"My father has been in Brigham House for about a week now. It's just perfect, and they are incredibly helpful. I was looking for an economical alternative in Massachusetts, and Brigham House accepts assistance on some of their residents, which some places don't. It's very clean. They've had no COVID outbreaks, and the staff seems very professional and fabulous. I looked at their Facebook page and it had a lot of positive pictures and positive comments on it, and it's only a mile from where I live. His room is a studio, and it's relatively small. It's 440 square feet, but it's laid out nicely. He has a small kitchenette and they allow their residents to have a cook service, which is fine. He's 98 and he really shouldn't be cooking for himself anyway. The bathroom is very nicely sized and he can get his walker in it very easily. It has a shower stall and they're assisting him with bathing as well. It's an old school and they had it rehabilitated. His room has very large windows, so it's very bright and sunny, which is nice. It's incredibly clean, and it really was a good fit. He'll be getting all of his meals, and they'll change his sheets and wash his towels weekly, which is a big help. At this point in time, he doesn't need help with his medications, but that's available, and I think that's gonna be coming down the road. The food is very good, and they have quite a few activities there. My father is new, so he hasn't been able to participate yet because he's been in quarantine for the first few days there, but they do memory games, bingo, and some movement classes for people. They have a nice variety of activities, and they sponsor movies in the common rooms in the evenings. "

"Chestnut Park has 2 parts, and I was very familiar with one part. It is more like one of the original buildings. It’s very clean and a little more old-fashioned. It was more urban, but it was very nice. The people that I spoke to were very professional and excellent. It had excellent programs. It was expensive, but they had great activities, and it seems as though they try to focus on food and the social life. "

"Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings is excellent. They're the No. 1 choice on my list. They went out of their way to deal with the rehab center for my uncle. They have really extended themselves to the limit as far as what condition they would take him in. At one point, my uncle was ready to go when they followed up and had a virtual assessment, but then the rehab center came back with a completely different picture. My uncle's needs exceeded what they were allowed to provide. The staff members went above and beyond what they needed to do. The rooms were clean, spacious and well kept. They had a lot of room for storage and closet. It would have been an ideal spot if there weren't other issues that disqualified my uncle. The facility was lovely. It was probably 10 to 12 years old. It was a beautiful and well kept building with a nice layout inside. While I was waiting for the person for the tour, there was a person there that I was able to speak with. She couldn't give it more kudos than anybody. She said she has been there for four or five years and she loves it. That was part of the reason that we gave it the No.1 place for him to go to. We got a good report from a current resident."

"My good friend lived in the Assisted Living facility at Providence House for about two years before needing memory care. Providence House was a wonderful, caring community. The nurses, aides, director, and staff were all wonderful and treated my friend with care, dignity and respect. She loved the many daily activities, her room was comfortable and clean with good light pouring in the windows. We were able to add amenities (laundry, extra help, etc.) seamlessly. I also appreciated the care we received as friends. PH staff were compassionate and lovely to deal with. I'm forever grateful to them. "

"Sunrise Assisted Living is a good place for my great-grandmother to live. She made the difficult decision to stop living in her own home after a stroke, and Sunrise is the most home-like environment available that also suited her level of need for care. She receives medical care, occupational therapy, and physical therapy in the same facility, as well as enrichment activities. The facility is clean and bright, and it is easy for residents and family to maneuver in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. The two staff doggies provide an additional home-like touch. The staff are kind, respectful, and caring; each staff member seems dedicated to meeting the needs of each individual resident. The kitchen provides healthy and good-tasting food, and there's a beautiful open dining room with plenty of windows. Even the grounds are beautiful, with flowers, grass, and well-maintained paved paths, so even residents in wheelchairs can go outdoors with assistance. "

"Sunrise of Arlington facilities seemed attractive. We saw the studio, companion suite, the dining areas, and some outdoor space. There was a dog barking when we walked in. The location was great. "

"It was being remodeled, so everything was updated. The person who took me around had lots of knowledge and was very involved. The staff was very friendly. There were a lot of people gathering in the great room, just for conversation, and enjoying themselves. The food looked very good, and they had a lot more variety than some of the other areas."

"Sophia Snow Place is all inclusive, so Mom has assistance with anything she needs. She has meal choices, 3 times a day plus the pastry cart in the morning, help with showering and meds, does yoga and has wonderful caregivers, she loves them all. They are consistent and helpful and pleasant and she feels very secure. The facility itself is immaculately clean, her room is very large and comfortable. The people are organized and helpful, there is someone at the door who knows when people go in and out. They were referred to us by the nurses that do care there, and it was a great decision. There is nothing that she misses from home!"
