My husband was at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Nursing Facility. We were very, very satisfied with it. It was excellent. The entire staff, like the therapists, CNAs, and nurses, was very tuned to his needs and his moods. The food was good; however, my husband had an aversion to cheese, and they occasionally would forget. Whenever he would ask for something different, they certainly provided it. The place was welcoming. The staff would smile and greet everybody. Several residents would go about in the hall, and peek in, and say hello. The cleanliness was good, too. This was our first experience in this type of facility, especially for him, so we were not certain of what to expect, but it went very well and better than anticipated. They had excellent activities that my husband refused to go to. The only time he would really get out was for therapy, and they would encourage him to get out of bed and into his chair at least twice a day for two hours, morning and afternoon. So, overall, they were encouraging. I'm not really able to rate their activities, but from the other experiences of the residents, they were all extremely satisfied. There was bingo, and they even brought in a live one-man band, and there were different games, and participation in activities was encouraged.
