Generations is the most outstanding facility of care for the aged and disabled that I've encountered thru the past years. As a retired health professional, and a family member who has had a parent and sister who lived in several nursing homes in the area, when Adult Day Services were not available, I am so proud and happy that Day Care Service Centers are becoming available. I can avow to everyone that people are much better off, living in their homes with assistance, attending Day Centers where they can maintain social interaction, and delay deteriorating mental abilities with the organized activities, rather than resort to residency in a nursing home. That more expensive and less favorable route of care can be taken later as a last resort, when the person becomes more seriously debilitated physically and mentally. In the Generations participants, You can see improvement and increased happiness in the people who attend this center. The staff and the attendees interact like a family which everybody benefits from. I advise caregivers to check out this facility if you are looking for help with a family member who needs assistance. You won't be sorry. BY THE WAY; THE CENTER HAS MOVED, IT IS NOW LOCATED ON WATER STREET!
