"Through my time visiting the residents of Horizon Village, Pathways Inc. I have had the chance to get a perspective about the quality of the facilities and the staff working there. Pathways Inc., the company that owns Horizon Village is a company that is indeed dedicated for the care and quality of life of the residents that are living in its facilities. They are constantly planning different programs for the residents there whether it be a party for a holiday or last year's Horizon Village Prom. The staff I have met at Horizon Village are caring people who are always tending to the wants and needs of the residents in their care without a sigh. The facilities that the residents live in are suitable but could definitely be improved. There are two different types of living facilities for the residents. There are individual apartments for those residents who are able to live on their own and there is a group home for those residents requiring extra assisted care. I believe that the group home can definitely be improved. A lot of the beds and equipment are getting old and should be replaced. "

"I do have a history with St. Claire Homecare. My senior year of college, I was in a Feature & Film Documentary class. An assignment, my class had to complete was to compile a documentary/video for St. Claire Homecare to help promote their services and for them to win a chance of $5000 towards the facility. We worked on this documentary/video for atleast 2 months. In the process, two of my colleagues and I were in control of the interviewing and documenting. Through this process, I was introduced to many of the home care nurses and the patients. One of my absolute favorite interviews was with a World War II veteran who lived in a Senior Home facility, expressed how his home care nurse was family. His nurse would come visit him several days a week and help him around the house. His expression showed enough appreciation in his eyes that no words were needed. My overall review would be that St. Claire Homecare, genuinely cares about their patients and treat them with the upmost respect. Everyone I spoke with had a very positive energy and expressed real concern for their patients. I wish we could give 10 Stars, because St. Claire Home Care deserves it! "

"The facilities were very clean and the staff was very courteous. Even on third shift the staff was always willing to listen and always wanted to help the residents. Each and every time I would visit I was always greeted in a very respectful manner and was proud to leave a family friend here. The care here is truly top of the line, as the nurses and even assistants are particularly well educated, some of them moonlighting at the home while attending college classes. This mix of hospitality and good education showed up in the treatment of residents. I visited with more than just my family friend at the facility and noticed that none of the residents had anything bad to say about the staff. This is a real change up from others I have been to where the residents are frequently explaining that they have been hurt by staff. "

"My experience with this assisted living provider was negative. The facility seemed to always be under-staffed. It was very smelly and somewhat dirty. Many times the residents would be pressing their call lights (help button) for several minutes before a nurse would get around to checking on that person. My grandpa developed bed sores during his stay at this facility. "

"The staff is very friendly and patient. They are quick to help resolve problems with the patients. The facilities are what I assume to be average. There isn't a whole lot for the patients to do besides watch television and socialize. The patients have to share rooms and there is sometimes an aroma of bodily waste, although the facility seems to be clean. I saw no patients with soiled clothing nor did I see any bodily waste on the floors. The staff seems to be competent at giving the patients their required medication. The food seems to be on par with your common cafeteria. Of particular note is the fact that they have a separate rehabilitation facility on site. It was a large space and had all sorts of equipment for the patients to use with supervision. They also have some patients that are not invalid, but are there for rehabilitation only. I personally witnessed them helping one such patient with his rehabilitation after a stroke, and they seemed to be very knowledgeable in their practices. "

"Rose Mary C. Brooks Place was a beautiful place. If I have to go somewhere else to live, I would definitely go there. I checked everything they had, but they can't and won't supply the help that my friend needs. He needs more help than those places are up to. They are more a place to go, either for senior living or for some help. This time what he needs is more than what they can offer. The staff was very nice to me. Nobody had any issues. They were very good. They took me in early. The major person to give me information wasn't there, but they came up with the information between a few of them. The rooms were very nice. It had everything anybody would need that can't live in their home anymore. It was a great place. The people that were living there when I did the walk through seemed very happy."

"Great Facility! It's older and could use some updates but that does not take away from the care they provide and the love they show for their clients."

"I chose Bourbon Heights because it is very close to my home. The facility is clean and well-kept. The staff there seems to care for their residents. My mom has a feeding tube now, so I really can't tell about the food they serve there. "

"My brother moved into Boonesboro Trail Senior Living for 11 hours, but he got combative, so we had to take him to a hospital where he eventually passed away. The facility was new, just built in 2021. They were very super nice people. It's a super clean place. All the staff was friendly. Everybody was just as helpful as they could be. His room was good and it was a little bigger than some. It was clean, and the bathroom was a good size with a standup shower. He had a view of the back where he could see the cars passing on the bypass. When we finally got him moved in with the furniture, they were very helpful in helping us get all that done. And then when they got him in, they were very helpful with everything. All we had to do was ask and they just jumped right on it. They had a good activity list. Because we told them that we'd be coming about every once in a while to take him out for country rides on the weekends, and they said that they have a bus and they'll do country rides. "
