Homestead Assisted Living & Memory Care of Eudora was excellent. It would have been my first choice, partly because of its location and I liked it. Their apartment was roomy. The halls were very wide. I didn't see as much of the activities and the people that were involved in. I just saw the room and everything was nice. It's a very new building. It's only four years old and it was still just as sharp and clean as the day it was built. They gave me a great deal of information on what I needed, what I was looking for, and how much it was going to cost and everything was just detailed. They took me through the memory care and I talked to a nice lady there who had just moved into her room. She had been in assisted living before, and she just had some more problems so they moved her over and she seemed just happy with it. We just walked by her door and talked to her and her room was nicely decorated and very pretty.

My sister moved into Homestead of Eudora. They had an opening, and I liked it. The staff are very friendly. They have lots of activities. It seems like they really care about their residents. I don't know much about the meals. I had ice cream there when they had an ice cream social, and it was really good. They make sure my sister eats morning, noon, and night, so that's good. They have people who come in and sing. They play volleyball. They play bingo, and they are going to Kohl's tomorrow. They have several outings. It is a nice place. Like all of them, they're super expensive. I get it, and I understand. My sister is getting good quality care, and there's someone to keep an eye on her. I think in today's economy, we're doing good.
