I chose Jefferson Park Senior Apartments because it was a 55+ community, and I couldn't find anything else that I liked. I didn't need any help taking care of myself. I just need to live in an apartment complex that has no children. It's very nice and very clean. They have lots of activities. They have a gym on site. It's a nice, comfortable place. The people are really nice. You have your own kitchen, and they offer breakfast on some days. Additionally, they have a cafe where coffee and drinks are always available. On Saturday, they gather and enjoy donuts or breakfast sandwiches. Daily, you can sign up to get a lunch for like $3, and then in the evening, they always have a potluck-type situation going on. I cook my own food.
