"We toured LakeHouse Sheboygan. One of the things that we liked was that they had a garage. The staff was very good. She knew the people by name. Most of the rooms were a good size and had enough space that you could move around. If you needed more exercise, you could walk around outside, and didn't have to stay in your apartment. The dining area looked very large, and all the people seemed to have a seat where they could sit. If you want to save a seat for a future date, you could do that."

"My mom is at Paradise Estates. It's a very beautiful place, but they don’t have any exercise activities. They do have people who come in for entertainment every once in a while. Their food is great. Her room is very nice with her own dining area. "

"We liked The Waterford at Plymouth. It seemed very welcoming. There weren't a whole lot of people there, but it was very nice. The staff was very, very patient. It seemed like there was still a lot of remodeling and stuff going on while we were doing the tour."

"We visited Felician Village and that's an assisted living. The director there was fantastic, really cares about the residents, and he interacts with all the residents by their names. The facility was beautiful. He spent a lot of time explaining things to my mom and me, so I would recommend that facility."

"I went on a tour of Landing at Elkhart Lake. The places were beautiful there for independent living and the surroundings are gorgeous. But the price is out of this world. The staff was very nice after she went with us, but she was on the phone. While we were waiting, she kept talking on the phone. There was no other one around to help her with respect to her. She herself did a very personal job after she finally hung up the phone. Maybe she was the only person around to take care of it. So, I think they were maybe a little lax on helping. But she didn't even say, I'll be with you in a little bit. She didn't even put them on hold for a second."
