Aperion Care Glenwood

My father is in Aperion Care Glenwood. The layout is nice. The upkeep is pretty good. I don't know if they are remodeling, or if they have remodeled, or if it's a new add-on, but the area that my dad is in is fairly new. I don't like the services being provided there. I don't like when I call that they cut you off short, like it's an inconvenience that they have to answer questions that you may have. I don't care for that. They're pretty rude. They have music time, bingo, and different activities that are offered there. There is some type of a workout area and a social area to watch TV and things like that. The food smelled good and it looked decent, but I don't like how they bring it to the room. He needs to be fed. They pass it out so early to other people. By the time you get to them to feed them, it's cold. The menu looked nice. They need to improve on having customer service skills. It smelled clean, but there were times when I went that it didn't smell clean. I don't know if they need to hire cleaning crews or if it's about them giving them more baths and changing them more and being more attentive to them.

I toured Glenwood Healthcare & Rehab when I was looking for a place for my mother. The place was very good and seemed to be very accommodating. They had numerous activities for the residents to participate in, went out for dinner or lunch, and played games.

Nothing that Glenwood presented in our initial meeting and tour was true! The administrator,was so friendly and helpful in the beginning and then later on, after admitting my dad into their care, I was horrified at some of the things that went on there. My dad was not cared for properly at all. many times i came to visit and he was soaking wet, laying in his own wastes. The place reeks of urine, to the point that it makes your eyes sting. One employee there told me that he wouldn't ever put his loved one in this facility! He said he felt duped, believing that he was being hired by a nice and caring facility, only to learn later that the people working there simply do not care about the people they serve. Everyday my dad would tell me he hated it there, and he would cry. Thank God, I was able to get him out of that place! If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT send them to this place!!!
