Keystone Place at Magnolia Common was very bright. It is a new building. The apartments are roomy. They have a small patio and an area where you can sit outside. Their menu seemed to be a healthy one. They had a lot of activities and entertainment for the residents. The staff and the residents were extremely friendly. They have three levels of living: independent, assisted, and memory care. The staff showed us a couple of occupied apartments in the independent living area because that's what we were looking for initially. We have a floor plan for the assisted living apartments. It's a multilevel building. My husband feels it's important that he be on the main level, so that is a restriction for us because the independent living apartments are scattered throughout the different levels. You would have to wait for the availability of one on the main floor, which would probably be a longer wait than if you were open to any floor. I was impressed with Keystone. We wanted a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. I would like to accommodate my adult grandson when he comes to stay, and because my husband wants to take his piano and a piano takes up quite a bit of room. The two-bedroom is, I think, the best fit for us. The administrator called me yesterday and told me they have a one-bedroom apartment coming open next month and wanted to know if we wanted to look at that. We probably could do that, but it would not be what we really wanted. We put ourselves on a waiting list at Keystone.

We visited the independent living community of Keystone Place at Magnolia Commons. It's new and very clean. We ate there, and the food was good. They provide entertainment, and I think they also do some tours. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and very informative about what they offered. I think they had a large room, an area where they had a large screen television, where you could sit with your company and enjoy television. They have activities, which I thought were really nice. We've attended several of their activities where they've had appetizers and live entertainment. I really thought it was a good environment.

I will move to Keystone Place at Magnolia Commons. I chose it because it's only a couple of years old. It also accepts my cats. It has a full kitchen. It is 1000 square feet. I like the size of the apartment. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. I like a caffeine-free diet Coke, and nobody carries that, except they did, and they put a liter container out for me. We had lunch there, and the food was excellent. The facility was extremely clean and well laid out. The layout was beautiful. It has luxury vinyl flooring, except in the bedroom, which has carpeting. It's like a little book nook, so it's almost like a little sitting area off of the living room, so you can make that two separate areas, which is lovely.
