"My mom is a former resident of Pinewood Retirement Villa. The care she received there is not what you would expect your parent to have. According to my mom, the food is terrible. They should improve on cleanliness. They need professional staff, activities for the residents, and medical care."

"My mother is at Summerhill for about 2 weeks now, and the experience has been pretty good so far. The staff was very professional, and we haven't had any issues so far. The admission process was fast, which was good. It was more like a nursing facility; they have rehab, assisted living, and memory care. They have Bingo, exercise classes, and different religious services, and they had a veteran's program last week. Her room is a lot nicer and cleaner. "

"I had my therapy at Summer Hill for a month. They were very caring, and I just couldn't tell you how pleased I was. The staff was very nice, very polite, very courteous, and very kind. "

"My mom was at Autumn Terrace. It seemed very nice. It was very homey. The food seemed nice. However, there were not a whole lot of people to look after my mother where she was. The place was very clean. In terms of amenities, they did the laundry, my mom can get her hair done, and they had Bible study. My mother had only been there for two days. There were only 15 people there, and there was only one person on staff. My mom did have things in her room to ring if she needed help, i.e., in the bedroom or in the bathroom. "

"The Oaks was a wonderful place for my mother in law to recuperate from her surgery. The staff is AMAZING! Every single person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive to my mother in law’s needs and had a great attitude, from the administrator, nurses, physical therapists to the wonderful staff that helped her around and brought her her meals. So many smiling faces every time you walk down the hall. I would highly recommend The Oaks Nursing Home."

"The staff member that I met at Arbor Manor was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. They were very organized when it comes to the diet plans of their patients. They've revamped and made improvements to the actual structure because it was previously owned by someone else. The room sizes are very large compared to other assisted living communities. However, they have carpets all throughout, which I don't think is very practical, because some of the residents have incontinence issues. Other than assisted living, they also have a memory care area that is locked down. They have planned activities for the patients and they serve three meals with snacks available throughout the day. The assistant manager is a nurse but is also a cook, so they fluctuate between different positions, and the patient to staff ratio is good. Housekeeping is provided and if someone needs more cleaning in a particular room, they also do that. They try to do everything that the residents need. I like that they have security surveillance cameras focused on the hallways of the rooms, so if someone is uninvited they can go back to that footage with the family."

"At Perfect Care, they’re very caring, seem like they care about my mother, and keep in touch with us if she has a little medical problem or something. They have just been really good to her, and she seems to like it. She has a nice, big room with a nice bathroom. We fixed it up. Perfect Care is not the most elegant one we have seen, but the level of care seems to be what we were looking for. My mother seems to be satisfied with the food; she doesn’t complain about it. The community is not beautiful or anything, but it’s fine and clean. "

"I was at Magnolia Manor of Americus. It was very good, it's just that I wanted to come to Florida where my daughter is. It's the best place by far. You have a spacious apartment in the independent living, but down in the assisted living part, it's not so great. Just before I left, I went down to the assisted living and it was horrible, but the independent living was wonderful. I liked the independent unit because you really were independent. You could go and come as you please with your own apartment and it was spacious. The people were friendly. It was just great. You could cook your own food or you could go down to the cafeteria and have food, and it tasted very good. They had a lot of activities going on all the time, and you could pick and choose what you wanted. They would take you to the grocery store, bring you back, or take you to doctor's appointment. All of the stuff that you would expect, they did it, and the facilities were very good. "

"We recently had to move our mother into the Church Home from another facility. I have to say that I am just so happy with this move. I feel (know) that my mom is getting the best care. I have seen such a huge improvement in her physical well being. She was barely able to transfer from her wheel chair to another chair or to the car, she is now so much stronger,(because they work her so hard) as she would say. I am so happy that they have been pushing her to get stronger, I can tell that they really do car. All of the staff, from the CNA's to the office staff are always helpful and so friendly. My mother is so much happier which in turn makes us happy. So glad we were able to get her into the Church Home this has been the best move. "

"My mom likes Colonial Gardens. The staff is nice. They play cards. The place is not high-end, but it’s kept well, clean, and homey. They're providing good services for the value. It's what we needed so it works for us. We're satisfied."

"My mother-in-law is at Fort Valley Health and Rehab which is an older nursing home. The staff is excellent and very good. They have entertainment and Bingo, and the food is excellent."

"We will be moving my mother into The Canopy at Warner Robins. I like the openness of the place. I like the friendliness and the companionship. The one who accompanied me on the tour was great. She explained everything and kind of alleviated the worrying, so it was good. The place was great, and it's a brand-new facility. They do a lot for them, even for the ones who have dementia. They take them out, and they make them seem like they're still viable functioning seniors. It seemed like they are there to assist if they need it. They sit and talk to them and engage with them. I've seen the menus, but I have not tried the food. I do plan on going down and spend some more time with my mom when she's there."
