"Heritage Homes was a very nice place, but my sister is only 64, so it was very depressing for us, and we didn't think that was a place she needed to be put in. If she goes someplace like that, she's not going to last very long. The staff was very nice. The rooms were tiny with a bathroom attached, and that's it. They had a lot of stuff going on. They were all busy. They had lots of common areas. They said they have small rooms because they're pushing their people to go out and socialize with other people in the common area. We only saw one staff member, the lady who took us around."

"We toured Cedar Community in West Bend. They showed us everything very nicely. The apartment we saw looked good. It's a very big community, and we thought it's nice. The staff we met was very friendly and helpful. I would say it's probably one of the best places that we looked at. I like its location. It was not in a crowded area of a city, but it was also just outside of town and that was something that appealed to us. They had a small library and some activities too. They had people come in and talk about things or entertain."

"I am in an independent living facility called KindredHearts Senior Living. I've just moved in this February. My experience is wonderful. I'm in one of one-bedroom apartments. Well, it is only a couple of 100 yards to walk to the three-story building where the dining room is, and I could eat three meals a day if I want to, but I only eat a couple of meals a week. They also have a heated pool there that I could use if I want to. Also there is an office in the three-story building that has also a place where music is performed sometimes and other activities. I'm rating KindredHearts the highest rating, that's why I'm choosing to stay here. "
