"My mother stayed in American House Westland Hunter for a year. It was very clean. People were engaging. It was a very nice apartment. The staff and services were exceptional. They were very, very helpful. They had limited activities because it was during COVID, but they took them out to the stores for shopping and out to lunch. They did bingo. They had karaoke. They had a bar night, where they served them alcohol. They had movie night. She had her own kitchen, so she really did not use the food much."

"My parents moved into Sunset Village seven months ago. Everything is going really well, and they're very happy. The staff is good, right there when my parents need help. The food is very good. They have housekeeping come in once a week to clean the room. It's a nice size, and when you walk in there's a nice living room, a kitchenette, a little refrigerator, and a microwave, but no stove. They have one bedroom, a bathroom, and it's big enough for the two of them. They have different sizes of rooms there. They're in assisted living, but my dad needs a lot of help. They have bingo, music groups come in, they take trips out to stores, they go to a restaurant once a month, they went to a casino this month, and this summer they will have outdoor concerts come to the facility. They have lots of activities if the individuals want to take advantage of it."

"My mother was a resident for a time at Swan Creek. We selected Swan Creek based on the patient/staff ratio that was the highest in Toledo and above the state and national average for staff/patient. We were please with the caring staff, good food, and cothempetent therapists. "

"We visited Wolf Creek. The staff was very knowledgeable, very kind, and had been there for a number of years. The place was very clean, luxurious, and way above my price range. They have occasional field trips and parties."

"The people at Waltonwood at Cherry Hill were very nice and the chef came out and talked to my mom because she is on a gluten-free diet. She went there twice. She went once with me, and then she went back again with my brother. She put $300 down there, but she had put in on a one-bedroom and now she decided the one-bedroom is too small. She's got to the end of the month or she can switch to another unit if one comes up, but there are seven on the waiting list for a two-bedroom. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The building is like 22 years old, but it had been renovated. It looked a little worn and it needed some maintenance, like the front door entrance and stuff like that. It looked like it was all scratched up, probably from walkers. We saw the library and the movie room with a slanted floor, so everybody could see. They had a courtyard. We saw lots of people out there having lemonade or punch or whatever they had out there, and it had a good turnout. It was good. I just think the room that we saw wasn't as good as the others. It didn't have laundry and dishwashers in the units. That was kind of lacking. The facility was very good and clean. You could tell they had redone some areas. They just need a little bit more on the front door, but it was very acceptable."

"I moved to Victoria Square. I like that it's senior living, so you're dealing with just seniors. They have a great community where they do things in their lobby or a little get-together at certain times. I like that it's secured where you need a key or be buzzed in, and no one can walk into your building. I also like that, in senior living, they cap you at a certain amount depending on your status, as far as you can pay, so they can't increase your rent like if you were in a regular apartment. The staff is pleasant. They have bingo and programs. They keep the facility clean and have maintenance people come through. I like that they have garbage storage on each floor and make sure to clean them daily so you don't smell anything throughout the building. As for the value, it's average. It's not a bad price for what you're getting."
