"My parents are moving to the memory care unit of Fields of Florissant. I visited the place, and everybody there was friendly and helpful. It was a large, older building, but it was nice. It was beautiful the way it was set up. I liked the activity room. I loved the outdoor area where they can sit. They're so far away from the public, so if somebody walked out, you won't have anywhere to go but a bunch of land. I liked that location because it was just land everywhere. The whole area was under them. Across the street, they had independent living, which was all underneath them. It's just a large area, and I liked it. I liked the fact that it was all the way away from the public. The rooms were beautiful, and I loved the way they were set up. My mom and dad were going with a 2-bedroom apartment, and the second bedroom will be like a sitting room, as they had at their home. They had a nice little full kitchen minus the stove, which was important to me. They serve their meals in the dining area, so there was no need to do any cooking. They have restaurant-style serving and a variety of foods to choose from. They serve three meals a day. They had large bathrooms with walk-in closets and walk-in showers. I really liked the layout. They had sitting areas all over the building where the residents could sit. If they just want to come out of their apartment and don't really want to go anywhere, they have that setup. They could get their seniors out on field trips, too, and I liked that. I also liked the doctor on call. They had 24-hour available staffing, so if the residents had any problems, somebody would always be there to help. It felt like a lot of security."

"The amenities at St. Paul's Senior Community are really good. The staff is very helpful and caring, and they continue to be that way for my mom. She is in the skilled nursing part and they're really attentive to her and make sure she gets what she needs. Their communication with us is excellent. They have quite a few other facilities, but some of them are not open because of COVID. They have the rehab facility and the activity facility (where she's been able to play bingo a couple of times). They have an outside garden area (where they're able to go out and sit) and a cafeteria area. It's a nice facility."

"I liked the location of The Atrium of Belleville and everything it had. The only thing missing was a swimming pool. The rooms were OK and had kitchens. I only saw a few residents, and they looked OK. "

"The facilities in Hidden Lake are well maintained and there are several nice garden areas where my grandparents enjoy walking. The staff are friendly and helpful, though they are not always very accurate with identifying patients before distributing medication. Because of this, my grandmother was almost given the wrong medication on two occasions. Despite the problems with staff being less than attentive before medicating patients, the community seems like a nice place and my grandparents appear happy there. The facility offers many opportunities for exercise and involvement for all of its residents and offers three meals each day as well as transportation via shuttle to several local destinations. The furniture and decor throughout create a very homey environment. With sofas and rocking chairs tucked throughout several nooks and corners, and a large fireplace and flat screen TV in the common room, there are plenty of places to sit quietly and visit with a loved one. There is even a piano in the common room where I once played Christmas tunes for my grandparents and their guests. "

"The Garden Villas North is a retirement community that is adjacent to the Delmar Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florissant, Missouri. My sister is currently a patient in Delmar Gardens due to a stroke and the a muscle disease. While visiting my sister, I was impressed with how beautiful the Garden Villas community was. The grounds were impeccable and the Villas looked like a luxury apartment complex where I would love to stay. The first thing I noticed after entering the main entrance was the warm welcome received from the receptionist at the front desk. The lobby was clean and reminded me of a nice hotel instead of an assisted living community. The receptionist was very professional and helpful in answering all the questions I had about the possibility of my sister moving into one of the Villas after she was released from Delmar Gardens. Based on the information I received, I know my sister would love to move into this community. The services Garden Villas North provides is top notch. I HIGHLY recommend this community for anyone searching for a retirement community. Please pay them a visit to see for yourself. You will not be sorry. "

"My mother is staying at Village North Retirement Community, and the experience is great so far. The staff and apartment or room is great. Her room is spacious and has all the accommodations that my mother would need so it's fine. It's got all the appliances and she had to bring her furniture (like the bed, and couch). The food is okay, and she gets 3 meals a day. Sometimes she doesn't eat the meal because she'll eat what's in her refrigerator; so I'll eat the meal, and they're okay. They've got a game day, chapel on Sundays, bingo, a happy hour, and barbecue. The living atmosphere is fine. You walk in and the place is nice and clean; you don't smell any odors so I think it's nice. The value for the money is there. She's been there for about a year or two."
