My grandparents have moved into Pacifica Senior Living Merced. The community is great. My grandfather has chosen it because he likes that there is memory care available for his declining wife. The staff members are very helpful, very responsive, and have been a pleasure to work with so far. The room is very clean, modern, and very reminiscent of an upscale motel. We were able to try their food, and that's one thing that we were slightly disappointed that I think they can improve on. Regarding activities, it looks like they have a lot going on. They have bingo and arts and crafts. They have a little chapel there, too. However, the price is a little on the high side considering the quality of the food.

I visited Pacifica Senior Living Merced. What I liked most about the visit was the friendly and helpful people. They showed me a room in the assisted living. There was no furniture or anything included, just a little kitchenette. The person who toured me was very knowledgeable. I saw that they had a courtyard there, too.

I had an in-person tour of Pacifica Senior Living Merced. The staff was friendly. One of the things that concerned me was the limited staff that was working in one particular area of memory care. The rooms were not secure, meaning that any other patient could go into the room. The cleanliness was good. The restroom, which is adjacent to the bedroom, was pretty good. The shower facility was padded. The pricing was just too pricey. The amenities for eating areas where food is served were great. I saw that some of the seniors were interacting among themselves. They were able to wander to and from their room. The only thing that I didn't like was that the males were adjacent to the females in that area. They had a barbecue area and activities to keep them busy. They have a hairstylist or an available beauty salon. The pharmacy comes for the patients. They told me to buy my wife a television, and I would be responsible for her laundry. They told me I was able to come any time that I would like to visit with her and take her off the premises, which I like.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced is a lovely facility. It is the best that we have been able to find for my husband and we feel comfortable with him there. It's an older facility, but it's classy, and beautifully kept and decorated. The staff is wonderful. They have a variety of activities. They have movies and bingo games. They take field trips. They go for walks. They have coffee and newspaper time. They have an activity printed monthly for the whole month of daily activities. Taylor is the director and she's excellent. They have a wide selection of food and my husband says it is quite good.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced was very welcoming. The manager was available, we made an appointment, and she was there. The front receptionist person and everyone else were just very friendly. It was clean. The person who gave me the tour showed me several options of the different rooms that my father could be in. They have a family room, and dining room, and there were a few reading areas. Activities were going on, and they have a hair salon. That's where I would want my father to live if they had the appropriate care for him.

My mother-in-law looks very happy at Pacifica Senior Living Merced. She is making friends there. The manager is very helpful. My mother-in-law's room is nice, but it's small. She also looks happy with the meal, and she's very, very picky. The dining area is nice and clean. They have puzzles, they have bingo night, and they have pajama party. I think they have so much fun that my nine-year-old wants to live there. The facilities look good and nice.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced was a little bit more complicated for people with dementia because they didn't have staff to help people get from one place to another. And it also has three levels. There's an elevator that they have to take if they want to go to the third floor. They were very expensive, but they were very nice. They had a pool table, a library, and vans that took them places. I've tried their food and it was very good. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very nice.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced was a very professional facility. All the residents that we ran across during our tour seemed very happy. They seemed very organized. The facility was clean and well-maintained. We loved the interaction we had with a couple of staff during our tour. It was very impressive. The residents were just wrapping up breakfast. As far as activities at that site, they were having an art class. I like the menu; it seemed impressive.

The tour I had at Pacifica Senior Living Merced was a good experience. The woman that showed us around was very personable. I just didn't think that the rooms were as pretty as the facility that I chose to go to. It was a little bit too boxy for me, but I know it served the people well there. Another thing was they had linoleum floors and I prefer carpet, but they were beautiful. I still really liked it. They seemed to have a nice dining room and a courtyard outside that people can sit in.

I went to Pacifica Senior Living Merced. Overall, the environment was clean, friendly, and well lit. The person I met was very friendly, and helpful and gave me a lot of good pointers and a lot of positive feedback on what I needed to get the process rolling with my mom. The tour itself was very simple. Everything was clean and I could tell, people were well cared for. Overall, the environment was good. Leslie was very friendly and communicated well with me through email as well as phone contact and overall just very personable. We saw a studio. They have a laundry service. For the memory care side, they have somebody there to administer medications. They have a dining room for the residents and they have an activities director as well. Now that COVID is a little bit more relaxed, they have some live music, and people come in and do some singing and play the piano. They have interactions with the residents.

My mother-in-law stayed in Pacifica Senior Living Merced for two weeks before she passed. My first experience going in, was joyful, because it was clean, and there was a lot of staff per resident. There was help if you needed it, they were there. I just felt very comfortable taking my mother-in-law there. The room was very clean, she had to share a bathroom, but the room was clean, and we were able to decorate it, however, we wanted it. It made us feel like she was a little bit comfortable. There's not much physical activity, but they're able to walk around, which is big for her. She was free to be mobile. There were areas where she could go outside and it was secure, and there was sunshine, and she was able to sit down to relax outside, which was nice. The food was incredible. Unfortunately, my mom didn't eat much at that point, that was what ended up causing the illness to kind of deteriorate. The food I do remember being served throughout the day and homemade, so it was nice. My mother-in-law had deteriorated, so my wife was there for five days straight. My wife was allowed to stay at the facility and by her bedside. I think what happened was that because my wife was there, they kind of felt my wife was taking care of her, but they would still come in periodically and change her and rotate her, and that kind of stuff. But I think maybe, there could have been a little more contact. The staff was very professional. They tended to us. They always helped us if we needed it, it was a good experience with the staff.

What I like most about Pacifica Merced is that they have activities and classes for the residents to attend getting them out of their rooms and able to be social. I visit grandma Mary Ruth often and have even attended their chair Zumba class! The staff is always so welcoming and friendly to my family and I. It makes me feel peace of mind knowing she is somewhere they are able to take such good care of her.

As hard as it is seeing your grandmother go through something like this, Pacifica has been a great help. The staff is very helpful and informative, and the facility is in top condition. It's great to see her participating in the activities and socializing again. We couldn’t have asked for a better home to give her.

When we needed care help for my great grandmother, Pacifica had all of the answers. Not only does this home have great food, nice staff, but the additional activities were exactly what my grandmother needed. The home seems well cared for and up to date. We were even able to use a private dining space to have a family dinner together like we used to.

We didn't care for Pacifica Senior Living Merced. We thought it was kind of not very well-kept, the office space was kind of dirty, and we just didn't like it as well. They had activities but not as many as the other place we toured. They had outdoor spaces but it was also not very well-kept. Everything was dry, not watered, and not kept up. There was a lot of sun and not that many trees. The staff was very accommodating. They were fine.

We chose Pacifica Senior Living Merced because they offered the high level of care that my dad needed. He needs the highest level. They take good care of him, it's very clean, it's very pretty, and they care about their patients. All the things I would want. I haven't tasted the food but it smells awesome. My dad's on pureed diet but my mom tasted the food and she said it tasted good. They have several activities every day.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced is nicer and more modern than the other place we toured. The person who gave me the tour was extremely helpful and told me so much more than I knew before on how everything works. I was even told the step by step of how to do it. The design and layout of the room is excellent. I did not try the food, but I saw the menu of the day. It was very complete and sounded quite good. I saw some of the common rooms. They are very nice, very well-kept, and very modern.

We visited Pacifica Senior Living Merced. I've made an appointment, but they weren't prepared for me. They ended up giving me a housekeeper because the person I booked the appointment with didn't show up. She did the best she could, but she couldn't answer our questions. She just showed me the rooms, and the room we saw was under renovation. The place was clean, and it felt homey.

My mother is in Pacifica Senior Living Merced. I take her to her doctors' appointments and everybody has been helpful. They give me her meds, so I can give them to her because I usually take her out to lunch at the same time. Everybody has worked with me without any problem. The residents put a little negative on it because most of them have memory loss and they're kind of not in tune with things, but as far as the appearance of the building and the rooms, they're very nice. Her room had just been repainted in white and beige and everything looks clean. They allow door hangers on the door. I've been very impressed. I like the way they have their meal set up. They have a table that's 10 people long or they can go and sit in their little group. The commitments they made to me have been kept. They were very helpful in being able to move mom in immediately. They have been very accommodating and understanding in all the dealings I've had with them. I don't have any problems at all. They have well-balanced meals and I have seen them busy with crafts or putting jigsaw puzzles.

My dad has moved into Pacifica Senior Living Merced. It is outstanding. They have a very friendly staff. It fits our needs very comfortably. The room is very spacious. It is a large 1-bedroom place with a kitchenette, a large walk-in bathroom, and a living area. They have activities every hour on the hour, so they have a ton of different things to do. According to what my dad said, the food is very good. The staff is very helpful, constantly check on him, and care about them. So far, it has been a very pleasant experience.

I had an appointment at Pacifica Senior Living Merced, but when I went in they didn't know anything about it. Some girl who only works during the weekend didn't know anything. She showed me a room on the bottom floor, and it was small. They will let me take my dogs with me, but I would have to pay a pet deposit.

Pacifica Senior Living Merced was OK. We didn’t get the chance to go into many places because it was under remodel, but the facilities were rather nice. I saw the dining area from afar, and it seemed nice. The staff people were all pleasant. I didn’t get the chance to talk too much with the staff, but the individual who was taking us around was very knowledgeable. We only looked at their model efficiency, and it was OK as far as assisted living places go. My mother was surprised how small it was, but she was pleased with the kitchenette area and the bathroom and everything. Their location was fine. It was close to the hospital and fairly close to the shopping areas.

Overall, I had a very good experience with Pacifica, and it was well-run. My friend has a nice-sized, well-laid-out studio apartment. The dining room is very nice. One of the positive things about it, and one of the reasons we chose it, is that one can take care of a small dog or a cat there.

I had people who recommended this community. I thought that everything was quite good; it was a very decent place. I would give them a high recommendation. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and it was excellent. I haven’t tried the food, but the food looked like everything was very good. The dining hall was great. I saw some ladies folding items and things as part of their activity, and I think they are doing some decorations. It’s a good facility, and I can’t say anything bad about it except it’s a little far from where we live.

We have placed my father-in-law and I think we are going to place my mother-in-law here. My wife found it online, she went over there, interviewed the nurses and the staff and thought this was a good match, and we were really happy with them. They are great carer, they are very attentive to their residents. We are very pleased and at first he wasn’t happy, but he is really happy with the place now. They get three meals a day, and he is really enjoying it. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a varied menu. They do have an activities board where they do stuff on a daily basis; the person can participate or not. They have a movie night with popcorn, or they might have balloon pass, singing and as far as the care there must be four people that appear to be available at all times. If somebody need special care with eating, I see them helping them eat, and they will make special food for someone with a special diet or cannot chew -- they mashed it out for them -- very friendly and patient. Each person has a private room and shares a bathroom with the next door neighbor, and the rooms were around the outside of the building. It’s a locked facility. The middle is the kitchen, dining room, and TV room, and in the very center of the long building there is a place they can go outside. It’s in the middle of the building so they can’t escape from there, but they can sit out in the sun in chairs, tables, and shades.

It was very nice. The staff was helpful, but they just never got back to me. They needed more medical information, and I couldn't give it to them because he is a veteran and apparently the VA doesn't send out the information, so I didn't get anywhere with it. Everything was just fine. It is just that I have filled out all the paperwork and they haven't gotten back to me.

This community is literally a hundred feet away from us. We liked the location and the rooms. All the facilities worked, and the people were nice. We thought that the dining room staff was a little bit not helpful, because my uncle is a little bit shy and hard of hearing. We need to have people who are a little more forward going and trying to help him get what he needs. He also didn’t like the food. It was also difficult for him to relate to some of the residents. My uncle was there for a full two months.
