"I have toured Ivy Park at Simi Valley. It was a beautiful facility, very clean, and there's lots of activities. They seem to be able to provide the care that my sister needed. The people that I met there were all nice. Everybody was very, very nice. They were extremely informative. They answered all my questions. They were excellent. The dining area was beautiful. I liked the fact that they have the kitchen open. You could go down there pretty much any time during the day, so they have flexible eating hours, so that's good."

"I toured Porter Ranch Garden for my father. It was okay but the location seemed kind of run down. They seemed clean, but it was a pretty beaten-up house. They seemed engaging and the person that gave me the tour was very informative. The rooms were okay and pretty basic. They weren't great and the cost was higher than what I said we could afford. She told me four thousand and that was a no. I saw the room and the living space area in the backyard. The living room was okay. In the backyard, there was a patio, and it was kind of rundown. The cost seemed high for the place and needed an upgrade or of keeping things up to date."

"Royal Palms was an amazing community with very nice people. The activities were pretty good, according to the patients. The staff seemed to be very attentive to what they needed and looked like they were very well taken care of. It seemed like a well-kept community. They kept up the rooms very well. The people seemed to be having a great time with the staff."

"Oakmont of Simi Valley was absolutely beautiful. We were given a lovely tour by Caroline and it went very, very well. The thing is that it's a little more care than I need. It's assisted living and I'm more interested in independent living. It had excellent amenities. It's beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and the activities there seemed wonderful. They have a great screening room, a lounge, and a dining room that's gorgeous. The activities they listed were just terrific. The staff was charming, very informative, helpful, and very polite. The outdoor was gorgeous and beautifully laid out. It had a lovely courtyard where they were doing an activity like a popsicle event."

"My mother has moved into Vista at Simi Valley. It's a beautiful, fairly new building. It's very beautifully decorated and very welcoming with very bright colors. It's kept very clean. It's not too big; you don't feel lost by any means. It's very pretty. The staff members are very welcoming, very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. My very picky mother, has been very satisfied with the food. There is plenty of food, there is a good variety, and they give you snacks throughout the day. At mealtime, you can ask for substitutes if you don't like the offering of the day, so you never go hungry. She has participated in playing bingo and she has watched movies. She participates in the afternoon social, which varies between things like root beer floats or cookies and lemonade. Each day it's something different. The second day she was living there, she took advantage of the beauty shop and got her hair cut, and the third day she got her nails done, so she has taken advantage of the amenities. The staff members are very nice, very concerned, and willing to do anything to help. The facility is beautifully decorated and it's uplifting. The colors and the modern furniture that they use have a very light uplifting to the whole place. Everything is very clean. They are willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable, to help you feel at home, and to customize what you're getting. I'm very pleased."

"Be Happy Be Home is probably the best thing that has happened to us this year. We were searching for a place that provided Respite Care for my 90 year old father who has vision issues and dementia. Lily's home checked all of our boxes. We were deeply impressed on our initial visit as the home was very clean and the air and atmosphere was fresh and inviting. Each room we visited boosted our confidence that we had finally found the right place. Each room we saw had connecting bathrooms which is very convenient for resident and staff. Each caregiver there was very patient with my father during his three week stay especially Mel who has such pride in keeping the residents clean and well fed. Lily is such a caring individual and it showed in every one of our in person and phone conversations.
