"When my Dad came to live with me 14 and a half years ago, I wondered how we were going to make it work. He needed supervision and I needed to work. Then he had an accident that left him severely disabled. The therapists thought he would walk only with a walker with assistance and the rest of the time he would be in a wheel chair. Once he came out of rehab - I was told he needed to stay in the nursing home - I needed to find a place for him to have a life outside of the house. Of all things - I was driving down Locust Street and saw Unity Adult Care. I stopped, had a discussion with Ms. Sandra F. and a wonderful relationship was born. Dad spent his days there for about 10 years - until he developed an aggressive cancer and ended up too severely incapacitated to go back. But he frequently asked to return as he missed the people and the food. He passed away last month but to the end he missed his time at Unity Adult Care - and that says it all. In the interest of total disclosure, I went to work for Unity about a year after my Dad started there until he became so incapacitated I had to stay home to care for him. Ms. Sandra and I remain close friends to this day."

"My sister goes to Millennium Adult Day Care, and I've been pleased. However, the negative thing is their hours are 8:00 to 5:00, but there have been days when they don't open until 8:30. The location works well with me. They provide two meals and socialization."

I highly recommend you to utilize their trial program, where your loved one can see if it is a good fit for them free of cost. I did so, and I will never forget what my mom said as I picked her up that first day. "This is it. You did good. It's not like the other places. I want to come back. I can already tell this will be my home away from home." It is my prayer that more families discover what a blessing this center and its people are to the community. "

"We have my mother in an adult day care. It used to be called Kels Adult Day Care but because they have a different owner now, they changed their name to Touch of Care. I would give them the highest rating. They're pretty good. They would pick Mom up and bring her home. She has breakfast and lunch there and it's really good. They would take them out of the house and mix with other people, which is really good for dementia patients. They have to think and use their brains a bit more. I think it does Mom really good too being out and mixing with other people. I think they're really great. We have been with this daycare for months now. I would recommend them. "
