Bad experience.

I had major surgery. The home health was supposed to order supplies for ostomy. The nurse came the first day for paper work. He set up a company but would not order. He said we needed to try out samples first. He said he would call to tell us when the next visit would be. No calls happened. I called Tuesday because of lots of leaks and running out of supplies. Then they told us that someone is coming Thursday but the would send someone out 4-5 hours from now to help and order supplies. She came is in a rush. She changed the ostomy bag. I felt like she was talking down to us. She left in a hurry and did not order supplies. I thought s person would still come on Thursday. I cancelled the home health. The discharge nurse wouldn't order because she said we fired them. I don't understand why this home health didn't make it clear what there role would be in my care. And why they didn't call to tell us what day the nurse would come the next week. And why they didn't order supplies right away. A one month supply should have been ordered the first day! A different ostomy bag could have been ordered the next month if needed. Supplies are important in this case!!!! Now we have to wait three weeks.

Do not waste your time, were to take care of mother, they are not efficient, did not show up when they were suppose to.

We're currently using Amedisys Home Health Care for my grandma. The caregivers are very efficient, kind and understanding. And they're always available. Our doctor also recommended them that's why we chose this agency.

I've been under the care of Amedisys on several occasions and never had an issue. However this time I've a different nurse each week and there has been miscommunication between surgeon, client and Amedisys. There is no doubt that everything will work out for the best.

Because I had a pelvic fracture, I have people from Amedisys Home Health Care come here in the house. Services from this home health care agency are just excellent. The people I am working with currently are their physical and occupational therapists. They have good work ethic. They are just very professional and work well with you. They let you know when they are coming in. They will tell you if anything comes up and if they have to be five minutes late. They are just very considerate. They will become your best friend eventually. Not only does the physical therapists are diligent in their work, their supervisors also would check on them once a week. They come and evaluate what is going on. A person from their home office would call and ask if I was satisfied with their services. So everyone is right on top of your satisfaction and your case. If anything happened, they are going to take care of that right that minute.
