My mother fell, broke her hip and had a big gash on her leg, so she went in to the hospital for that. She had home care from Geisinger HomeCare, which was provided by the hospital, as she recovered from hip surgery. They came to the house within two days from getting home, if not the next day. My mother was in their facility at the hospital, then in rehab and they came for about three weeks to make sure that she was following the procedure for her exercise. They came weekly and checked up on her and she’d been doing fine. From talking with my mother and my niece, they were responsive and very helpful to her. They were helping her with the exercises following her surgery, reviewing her medicine to make sure that she was taking her proper medicine, evaluating the house to make sure that there were no obstructions that would cause her difficulty, helping her evaluate what needs to be done in the bathroom to make sure she was very well taking her shower, and helped her be ready to take care of herself. I would recommend their service.
