My father was admitted to Kitty Atkins in May of 2020. The caretakers at Kitty Atkins cared for my daddy in his last days. They were warm and hospitable and made my dad's transition easier to deal with. My father was very demanding; even down to the specific number of cubes of ice in his water.The staff was attentive and kept him comfortable. Even in the midst of a pandemic, his transition was made easier in knowing he was in good hands. Due to restrictions from the pandemic, my interactions with my dad were from outside his patio. The nurses would turn his bed to the window each time so my family and I could see and talk to my daddy in his final days. In the most difficult days for my family and I we were given solace by the excellent care given. I am eternally grateful to the staff at Kitty Atkins.

My grandfather was admitted to Kitty Askins in Goldsboro North Carolina in 2009. The facilities were small, but in the process of being expanded. Each room was a private room, which was great for the family and the patient. The rooms, hallway, waiting room, and visitor kitchen was all very clean. The staff was extremely helpful. They often checked in on my grandfather to make sure that both he, and any family visiting with him was comfortable. Whenever anyone made a request for new sheets/blankets, the staff seemed happy to help. When the television in my grandfather's room quit working, the staff went to a local store and had it replaced with in a few hours. My grandfather complained that the food was not good, but it was healthy and they did not ever bring him food that he was not allowed to have on a diabetic diet. I was extremely surprised with the quality of care, friendliness of the staff, and clean the facilities were.
