Do not use Embracing Hospice. If there were less than 1 star I would give that as a review. My mom was in a nursing when it was recommended she be placed on hospice. We unfortunately chose Embracing Hospice. They did nothing to help my mother. The nursing home called at 9am on the day she passed to tell us she was in distress. Apparently the Hospice aide had come by first thing in the morning and noticed she was in distress, but then she LEFT!! I never heard or saw hospice again while myself and my brothers and the nursing staff sat with my mom as she struggled to breath. The nursing home couldn’t even get in touch with hospice to ok further meds. Thankfully the nursing home made the decision later in the day to give her something to calm her and she was able to pass peacefully. We never heard from hospice and neither did the nursing home. Who needs a hospice that isn’t there for the final hours! Btw, they called a week after my moms passing to let me know I had a new social worker, they didn’t realize she had passed Do not use this service
