Distinctive Care has been providing services to both my parents for more than three years. I live at a distance and the peace of mind they provide for me and my family is second to none. Their nursing team is extremely professional and highly trained in the care of persons with dementia. When the time came that we had to move mom to a nursing home they helped us find a very high quality facility and were there for all aspects of the move. My dad is a big Yankee fan and they took him to a game at the new Yankee Stadium...he was twelve rows behind home plate and had an amazing time. They were even able to arrange for an oversee the building of a new deck on my dad's house. They are available to help our family in any way possible and I would recommend them to anybody who is in need of geriatric care management.

I have been using Distinctive Care for three years and the improvement in the quality of both my mother's and my quality of life has improved tremendously. For the first time in 20 years her blood sugar is under control as a result of their clinical care pathways. Their care managers are nurses and they really ensure that her very long list of medical needs are addressed and provide me with detailed information on all of her doctor visits. They are able to answer any question I have about tests ordered and what the results mean as the doctor rarely has the time to explain things to me in depth when he calls me. I knew I had made the right choice when I received the written evaluation and care plan on my mom. It was very thorough and the care manager spent time explaining every detail at no additional charge. I feel like these nurses are part of my family and I am not always worrying about what's going to happen next with my mom's health.
