We actually needed the person coming out to be able to drive the client to places. He is 93 and needs a walker or a cane. Unfortunately, I don't think they can fix this, but he needs to get into a car and sometimes the person driving him has a car that he has to actually climb into. It's a little difficult for him, but there's not really anything anybody could do about that. I think his current aide does not have AC in their car, which makes for a difficult trip. I don't think that's a big deal though and I don't think they have any say over that. I like that they're available 24/7 and their communication is really good.

We received 3 half days of help in our home in Camden county - Haddonfield. Britney was amazing and helped in so many ways. Bill loved to talk with her about their lives and really trusted her to take him for walks. She made sure he was safe on these walks in our community while he used 2 walking sticks. He is pleased that his walking has gotten better. I was happy that she could do his laundry and change the sheets on our bed. She made his breakfast and before she left, made his lunch so it was ready for him to eat when he wanted it! She would also do vacuum cleaning as well as wash dishes and put them away. The office called us if we were to get a different caregiver and answered all my questions about the person's experience. They were always able to get someone to come and help on our days of need and at the times we wanted. I would really recommend RIGHT AT HOME services. Everyone in the office was very responsive and caring!

During the last week of my mom’s life, we hired Right at Home aides to help us care for Mom around the clock to make sure she was comfortable while dying and that all her needs were met, including bathing and changing, medication, and ensuring comfort while bed-bound. Not only were these caregivers there for Mom, but they quickly became shoulders for us to lean on for this very sad and excruciating process. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our caregivers were - they were skilled, professional, respectful, caring, attentive, gentle, kind, proactive - everything we could possibly want. One phone call and my stress was over! I am the sole caregiver for an elderly aunt in NJ but I live in South Carolina. After contacting Right At Home I was immediately at ease because I knew the agency would insure my aunt was not alone. The caregivers ( I asked for a variety) took excellent care of my aunt; they stayed on top of her appointments, cooked her wonderful meals, and generally removed so much stress from my day to day life. Without her help, I have to spend all of my time trying to get him away from the TV and cognitively and socially stimulating him. Our wonderful Aide does exercises with him that were recommended, has gotten him onto social media to provide an opportunity for more social interaction, is helping him organize a bit since he has lost his executive function, helps clean up and do laundry and some errands and is just a delightful companion. They are very helpful. Right now, they fill in for our aide that goes in. My wife and I work, and we need somebody there when we are absent, and she can't be left there alone. Everybody is pleasant, they are very thorough and clean, and my aunt is very happy with them.

If we could afford more, I would rate them higher. We only get 3 hours a week, but they are 3 very important hours. We get very good meal preparation. The person being taken care of does not get out to have a social life, so the caregiver is his social life. I've already recommended it to some friends. I mentioned that it was highly recommended in a list of agencies given by a social worker. This agency was second on the list, but the first companies prices were too high. Their prices and flexible hours were just as competitive. And the personnel is fine.

If we ever had an issue with a caregiver, we could call and they immediately resolved the situation and took the caregiver off the case. The caregivers were great. They did a nice job of taking care of my loved one and letting me know what they need. There was no communication with them. People would call out and I wouldn't get a phone call letting me know they weren't coming. They wouldn't apologize when something wasn't right.

The people they sent over could have been more attentive and more punctual, and not cancel out so many times for many different reasons. I had to request changes a few times. The caregiver they sent over should have been more proactive with my mother. Basically they just sat there and talked on a phone, which is not what we were expecting.
