I could only afford to have them for a few hours at a time because $33 an hour can amount up. I would have them get him up in the morning or put him to bed. It was a help, but for the most part at nighttime or during the between time I would have to be responsible for her care. It was still very much a burden on me. I think maybe better staffing. Sometimes they would not be able to come at the time we arranged because of staffing.

For example, the lady I met with met my dad and understood what his needs were and tried to match him with the perfect person.

When it happens it is positive. It has mostly been negative because we lost his bath caregiver that I just spent three days training. Today she did not show up. That negatively affects me. Since I have to pick up the slack when they do not follow through. It is hard to find good care and keep it. My dad has needed care the past two years. Out of 6 people we have had one person stay longer than 6 months. She left to go be a nurse. They have a lot of turnover and flaky people. The care was decent while it lasted.

We had different home care and Eden Home Care just didn't do anything compared to the other place. They need to improve just about everything. We were not very happy. We had several meetings with them and it seemed like they were always showing up to help with things I don't remember having an appointment for, like when we were on our way to the doctors appointment. They charged us for that sometimes too.
