I am no longer a client of this agency. I was a client for over a year. My caregiver was very good and took very good care of me. But, starting last May, 2021, she began to arrive late or called off a lot or came to work exhausted or ill. I talked to her about the change in her behavior and she promised she would do better. One morning she came in and was in an angry mood. When I asked her what was wrong, she began screaming at me. I tried to calm her but she kept talking over me. She also screamed at another adult in the home who had come in to intervene. Finally, she was asked to leave. Since this happened, we have learned when she would take off early, she wouldn’t let the agency know. This whole experience was very traumatic for me. She had been a really good aide for the most part and I liked her a lot and I miss her. But, what surprised me was the agency. Let me first say that we seldom heard from the agency. The agency we had previously was often on the phone checking on me, sending nurse to see how I was doing. Not Amada. Even so, I did expect them to reach out to me when they were told what happened with their caregiver. Nope. They never called or wrote to me. I decided to leave Amada because I did not want to be with an agency who cared so little about their client. I would never recommend Amada to anyone. It’s sad when an agency cares more about money and not about the client.

My husband is using Amada Senior Care St. Louis. The caregiver is very good and very conscientious. He likes her very much. She does everything we ask her to and more. They've been bending over backward to accommodate us and help us. He's been in the hospital and they've been reaching out to him and just checking up on him. They're very good.
