Amedisys Hospice Care - Elkton MD was excellent. They were superb. They had nursing coming in. They had nursing assistants coming in to bathe my mother and just to turn her and stuff like that. They had a social worker coming in, to see if there was anything that needed to be done from that standpoint. They also had a minister coming in. They were very flexible and we even call them on the weekends. They came pretty much any time we needed them. They routinely came four times a week and then towards the end, they were coming every day. Everybody was excellent. When Mom passed away, a nurse came over right away and took care of calling the funeral home. They watched her and got her ready before the funeral home gentleman came to get her. They were fantastic. I cannot say enough for them.

My grandmother was too sick so I just did hospice at home. We used Amedisys Hospice Care. They were wonderful, very caring, and very helpful. In the beginning, they helped her shower and get a bath, and they did the medications for her. I did most of the caring for her, but they were just there if I had any questions. They would let me know the day before when they were coming. My grandmother had Blue Cross Blue Shield, so she was pretty much covered. The caregivers were fabulous. They answered all my questions if I had any and were just there. When she did pass, they were there within 15 minutes.
