"We have Home Instead coming in five days a week for my parents and that is keeping them home safely for right now. We went in for an appointment and then they came out and did an assessment. They were able to send a caregiver out the following week. She does meal preparations, does some errands for them, does light housekeeping, and helps my mom get a shower whenever she is agreeable to doing it. She comes five days a week, Monday through Friday, for two hours. Her schedule is from 11:00 to 1:00, during that lunch hour time. We've been using them for three months now. She really seems to have a great rapport with my parents, seems to genuinely care about them, and does the best she can for them. She goes beyond the call of duty to do things for them. She's a very caring individual."

"We are using Community Care right now. They are not doing a good job; not one that I’m satisfied with, at least. My mother needs care four days a week, and they send someone three days a week. On the fourth day, she is left alone. I am not pleased with that. I am actively looking for another agency in the area. Their scheduling isn’t good, but their billing is OK. She gets her bill paid through Medicaid. The quality of the people they are sending is not that good. They supply her with someone for about five hours, four days a week. She has early Alzheimer’s, so they are there to make her food, do her laundry, clean her house, take her where she needs to go, and help her shower. The couple of people who they sent have been OK. They sent a young man out and my mother said that he was very good. He went into the basement and did the laundry and folded it and she thought that was really nice. I talked to a couple of the ladies on the phone who told us what they were not going to do. They weren't asked to do anything out of the ordinary, but she asked one of the ladies to vacuum the stairs and she said she was not going to do that because she thought that was dangerous."
