My mom was in Northbrook and I signed her up with HPH for her care, primarily because I was told by HPH that when it got close to her passing she could be moved to the HPH facility and I could stay with her the last few days. Well they conveniently forgot to tell at sign up time that Mom needed certain symptoms in order to be moved. My mom passed this morning and I spent all of last week trying to get her into the HPH facility as Northbrook said they could not accommodate me there. HPH would not take her. Finally on Friday Northbrook was able to move my mom to a room that would accommodate me and I stayed there with her from 6pm Friday until she passed this morning. Mom only exhibited "imminent death" symptoms the last two hours of her life. If Northbrook hadn't let me stay I would not have been there when she passed. They were wonderful.....I feel HPH really dropped the ball. They only made a very stressful time MUCH MORE STRESSFUL. I know everyone I talked to had a wonderful experience with HPH, but for the last week of mom's life I was let down by them and I am extremely disappointed. I would not recommend them as you too may get the run around during the worst days of your life

My mother was at this facility the last week of her life. The staff did an outstanding job caring for my mother's and our family's physical, mental and emotional needs. My mother was able to die peacefully and privately. We are grateful that we were able to be at this facility during the most difficult week of our lives.

My dad was in Hernando Hospice Care for about a month. It was excellent. My father was not happy about needing that care but they were able to approach him and give the assistance that he needed.
