This place is a blessing. The people that work here are something else. They made the dying process as peaceful and dignified for my mother as could possibly be. Eve (Nurse) and Priscilla (CNA), which were our main caregivers, were loved by my mother and they provided excellent care. There were a couple others that were excellent as well but just filled in sometimes for us and they were Kesa (Nurse), Amanda (Nurse), Lauren (Social Worker), and Otavia (CNA). I briefly met Vanety (CNA) and she was also just as nice as she could be. Their work is hard physically and emotionally so I commend them for being in such good moods and doing such a good job. Thanks especially to Eve and Priscilla. They were my mom's favorites.

I can not say enough good and kind things about Hospice Of Alabama. We transferred my father home from another facility so he could get the care he needed while being in the comfort of his own home. Being at home was very important to him and the excellent medical and support staff made that possible. They spent time and energy not only in giving comfort to Dad, but also for me and my mother. We were exhausted from 24/7 caregiving and the care they gave allowed us to relax and get the rest we needed. It's such a critical time for every family, but they showed care and tenderness, along with informative, medical knowledge. You will not have regrets about allowing Hospice Services of Alabama to help your loved one live with dignity until the very end. Most people do not write reviews unless they are unhappy about a service so I just wanted to show my gratitude for the wonderful care you provided for my father.

The staff may give excellent care in your home but you will consistently have different people in your home. This company maintains a very high turnover rate- around 60-70% as we can tell. Your loved one may get good care but the staff that actually provides the care are treated poorly. High burnout has been observed and poor staff support from the owners- which will directly effect your experience. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

While the great reviews might have been appropriate in the past, I have not found their services up to par. We finally had to cancel with them. It was like pulling hair out to get one employee to communicate with another employee to get any results. Trying to get meds filled was sooo stressful. Only one person there seemed to really "care" about the patient and their family. They were not supposed to come to house before 8:00 am and appeared at 7:00 am to give her a bath. She wasn't even awake. When we canceled, three days later an employee called to make arrangements to come out for her visit. They had not told her we had canceled. Once again, lack of communication on their part.

When we needed someone they were there no matter what time it was day or night. It really helped calm my nerves about the whole experience knowing I had them there to support me at all times.

WONDERFUL people with the most caring and selfless hearts. They take the time to do everything they can for the patients. Incredible service.
