I like Waupaca Elder Care Home because you can see all the rooms from the center of it. They were laid out in a circular formation. We are very pleased with them right now. It is a smaller community.

The staff were overall friendly, although the building and its facilities seemed outdated. When we visited her, she explained that there were activities that she could do to connect with the other residents, which was surprising. The staff seemed to encourage interaction with everyone else there. There was a medication error (or rather miscommunication) between my mother-in-law's doctor/hospital and a nurse that was on site. That gave me a bad taste, at least initially. I was concerned that my mother-in-law wasn't receiving the type of care she deserved. Having said that, she seemed as happy as one could be in that place and I guess I'm not convinced that the error was the fault of the staff there. I also give a lot of credit to the holistic view of care. My mother in law required extensive care due to a fall she had taken. Besides medical care, she received help from a physical therapist and even received pastoral support when she asked for it. Overall I would recommend.
