I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Tucked into an old corner of pasco is a wonderful skilled nursing facility that is sure to amaze. While the accommodations are indeed old they are very comfortable. The staff is very kind and proficient. My sister was there for a month and a half and with each passing day I watched her become stronger and healthier. From the receptionist, nursing staff, and physical therapy to the kitchen and laundry staff, I knew my sister was being well cared for. My sister came home this week and I’m so grateful for the care she got from Avalon. U

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband was recently a resident of Avalon. I was very hesitant of him having to be admitted to this type of facility but I was pleasantly surprised from day one. The facility is older but it is well maintain. He had a large room, that was very clean. The staff were extremely attentive to his needs and they treated him as they would their own family. I cannot express enough how much I appreciated the loving care everyone showed both my husband and myself in his last days.

I am/was a resident of this facility

The rooms are large and nice. I had a single room which was delightful. Staff was very inter-active and fun to talk with. Our activities were done in our rooms because of Covid--19. The only thing I found wrong was the number of patients who did not use their call lights and yelled constantly, particularly a woman who was confined to her bed and unable to walk. Administration would not pay attention to my complaints about her and it set me to crying because of her yelling and screaming for very long periods of time

My husband went to rehab at Avalon Health & Rehabilitation Center - Pasco. It's old, but it's clean. The physical therapy was very good, and the office staff was friendly, personable, and trying to help. They had movies and popcorn, bingo, a lady came and played the harp, they had a Mexican festival, and they did crafts. The dining area was clean, but he did not care for the food. I also ate there, and it wasn't really interesting. The staff was good to him and very caring. The physical therapist was a five out of five. He was in good shape when he left there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father is in Avalon Health & Rehabilitation Center - Pasco. The facility he is in for rehabilitation is also an assisted living home and VA approved. They got approval from the VA for him to stay there permanently. They do a good job. They're adequate. He has a room to himself and it's clean. It's a clean facility. The food is OK, and they have activities. He isn't real happy there though they're meeting all of his basic needs. The food is nutritious, but it's nothing gourmet. I ate there once and had tomato soup and a toasted cheese sandwich. You get what you pay for. They do their jobs as well as they can with what they're given.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My husband is now in Avalon Health and Rehab. It's a very clean facility. The staff is very well at monitoring their patients. If anything happens, they give us a call right away and let us know. The only problem I see is their lunch room; it’s very unorganized. It takes the patients a long time to get their meals. With their activities, they have a popcorn day, where everybody has free popcorn. They also have crafts. They have a church where they can go and worship. They actually have a lot of different things for their patients.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I know of Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center because my grandfather was a resident there. He had been living on his own but started having a lot of health problems. After a lot of research on local assisted living facilities, we decided on Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center. The workers at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center were incredible. They were very kind and very caring. They treated the residents with respect, unlike many other facilities that I have seen. They took into consideration what was the absolute best for their residents. They were very friendly with visitors as well. The facilities were clean and very well taken care of. They did the residents laundry on a regular basis. I also really liked the fact that they had a mascot. They had a cat that wandered around the facility and I am a true believer in animal therapy. I believe that having an animal around helps the residents feel more at home.
