Creekside Place

My mother ended up staying at Creekside Place Memory Care and it was excellent. She was there for seven months. I liked a lot of things about it. The staff was great. They were very caring and they were fun. She liked to tease them and they liked to tease her back, so they had all kinds of fun together. I was there for a couple of meals. It was healthy and delicious. They had an outdoor courtyard. The building wrapped around it, so it was a safe area that they could be. They have a theater room and they have lots of activity areas. They had a dress-up center for when people got to that stage of Alzheimer's that they were like children. They had exercise classes several times a week, mostly chair exercises. They did arts and they had all kinds of activities. Every day there was something different. They would take them on safe outings. They took them dancing and another time to the movie theater and they took them bowling. They did a great job. I feel like that they were a good value. They were cheaper than all the other places. They had great employees who truly cared about the people there.

My mom is at Creekside Place. It's memory care. I have no complaints with them. I think the facility is clean. They have activities for her, and they keep an eye on her. Whenever she needs to, she can call me. They're very communicative. With regard to my mom's room, the walls were all painted when she moved in. The carpet is clean, and the bathroom is clean. Value for money is probably average. The best feature is the security.

We toured Creekside Place Memory Care. It's a very nice facility. They will take respite for two weeks but that's not what they're set up for. They're set up for people with Alzheimer's or dementia. It's very clean and very well laid out. It's every bit as nice as far as living facilities. It's a little smaller, but it is very lovely. The staff was very nice. We went there at noon, and they were eating, and everybody seemed to be happy. It looked like a very nice community. People were happy and everything but most of them had Alzheimer's, and my father passed away from that, so I understand that it's pretty rough. The rooms were very well laid out. They're nice rooms but they're not set up like independent living.

We visited Creekside Place Memory Care. I appreciated everything they offer their seniors. They were very thoughtful with the types of things that they had to offer their seniors as far as things to do and places to go. The staff was very kind and they seemed to truly care for the people that were living there. The facility was nice. It was well-maintained. The building seemed to be in good order, and it was clean. One of the things that we toured was a shared room. There were two separate sleeping spaces, and two residents would share an apartment. They would have a small, common area and then two separate rooms. They're roommates, which I like quite a bit because my dad is very social, and I think having that extra bit of connection is a good thing for him. They have a dining hall, they have a small movie theater, and they have several common areas with televisions and things like that. They have a nice kind of garden promenade space in the middle of the property and various common spaces throughout. They have different things like a tool station, a baby station, and a craft room. The staff were very kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I was very happy with their property. I would strongly consider taking my dad there.
