"My uncle was placed in a nursing home called Heritage Hall two months ago. The staff is wonderful; the room is spacious and clean. He is in a shared room and loves the food. The dining room is spacious, elegant, and homey. They have singing and bingo. They seemed to be doing a great job. What impressed me most was because of the staff, they were very good to my uncle, and they treated him very well. "

"The facility was very lively and fun to be in. The residents were given the opportunity to get fresh air, enjoy games, and be involved in residential activities. The care givers are wonderful and the residents are always guaranteed the best care that can be provided. "

"The staff of Heritage Hall of Grundy, Va was gracious and courteous when my elderly relative (who passed away now)was there. There care of her was great but also always answered our questions of her care with care and concern for her. But they also comfort us when we had concerns of her care. Overall the my rating of them is great the staff was caring and they took excellent care of her. I would recommend them highly to someone else cause my families experience of them was overall great. "The facility is clean and the staff is wonderful and genuinely caring. I even like the food there! Also, all the rooms are equipped with a sink. There is a library that has a piano in it. The members also seem to love sitting in the rocking chairs by the fireplace. There is a room with fitness equipment and a big screen t-v. There are plenty of courtyards Overall, I always have a pleasant experience. The rooms are rather large and my mamaw has room for a full size bed, a love seat, a recliner, a night stand, a dresser, and a side table. And there is still plenty of open space. The rooms really are wonderful. Also, the whole place has wooden floors, even the rooms. There are quite of few couples in the place as well and they share a room. All of the people living there are nice and the nurses are patient and kind. The residents are allowed to leave as long as they check out. My mamaw's boyfriend often comes to take her out to shop, or to eat, or travel. There are no real restrictions on when and where residents are allowed to go. "

"My experience with this facility is very positive, there's nothing bad to say about the time I spent there with my Grandmother. She's well taken care of and gets the attention that she needs as far as her medication and assistance is concerned. You can tell that she is well cared for in the hands of the staff. "

"The facility is beautiful, so homelike. The hallways and common spaces are furnished with great care. Every hallway and nook seems to have a different carefully chosen piece of gorgeous furniture and delightful artwork. Each resident furnishes their own apartment so it will be as comfortable and attractive as you make it. My father's room backs up to a mountain stream. Cedar Creek is quite and peaceful, yet full of life. The residents here still have a lot of living to do. I lived with my father for the first two weeks he was here to help with his adjustment. Dad is blind and needed a bit more assistance in learning his way around than the average 90 year old. The first day he visited residents came from all over the dining hall to get to know him. The residents here help each other and the staff is humble, kind and competent. An elderly person is so much happier if they can live in the community they are accustomed to. My father has lived in Pikeville since he was in his mid 20's. I'm very proud that the small town of Pikeville has such an excellent facility. "
